Opals are just lovely when done right.

Delta Gamma Ladies,

Please forgive me if I am infringing on ritual secrets, but as I was looking at the most recent postings of Delta Gamma badges, I noticed that the line(rope) on each badge had a different placement. Are we just seeing an evolution of badge design? Is it due to a change in badge manufacturers? I really like the line placement on the opal badge-a stunning badge, btw.

I love all of those Delta Gamma badges -- beautiful.
I am also a fool for opals!
Really beautiful Alpha Phi badge too -- gorgeous.
Now, the Q Dog pin -- looks more like a salesman's sample to me!

This Lazy Phi badge is owned by a GC member. We've drooled over it many times!

Ah really?!? That's an incredible badge.

Also to FSUZeta: I'm not sure, actually (bad me, I'm still a relatively new active). I'll let someone who knows better than me answer.

Several other GC Alpha Phis have gotten to wear it for special occasions. Have you scrolled through this entire thread? There are lots of amazing things archived here. It's worth a look...sometimes I go back and remind myself of the beautiful badges our sisters (and brothers ) have worn over the years and turn green. Sigh.

Isn't this one also a GCer's? Or is it the all opal or opal and sapphire one that one of the GCer's owns?

(Sorry IndianaSigKap, really! I'm just anxious for mine to appear!)

We see so many ADPi badges from honeychile that I can't keep up. I remember one she couldn't get.

That was my thought. I know I've seen this one before though, and I thought Honeychile might be the owner.

I believe at one time, the placement of the rope varied with manufacturers. The current placement is standardized for a reason.

I'd love to know the story behind the different colored stones if it's not ritual. What an incredibly unique and beautiful badge!

Limited Edition Badge!

Here we go. This is for you, IndianaSigKap. Sorry if they are huge. I had figured out resizing at one point, apparently long ago, or I am getting forgetful in my old age. less than a month till I'm 30. Scary!

That's along with the sterling and amethyst point scroll badge I got from Herff Jones last August.

look how thin the scroll badge is in comparison!

also, the pearls are not visibly different in color in person, but they're SO different when blown up with flash!
