Nurtured by faith and resolve ...

And now at the beginning of the millennium, it stands as a monument to the vision of 12 men who refused to take no for an answer!

To my Brothers of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, I send heartfelt and triumphant best wishes on our 37th Anniversary! As we continue to toil in the fields of Building a Tradition, let us pause and reflect upon our history with the pride of accomplishment.

We have achieved much and surpassed the expectations of many. We have endured the scorn of those who would not believe and have overcome the objections of those who would hinder.

And now as we stand at the threshold of moving into our home, let us reflect but not become complacent. Let us remember but not lose sight of the future. Let us enjoy the fruits of our labors but not forget the responsibility we have to our Hymn, our Oath, and our Purpose.

May the Maker grant us the courage, wisdom, and strength to forever be the living embodiment of our oath: "Building a Tradition ... Not Resting upon one!"
