LOL, yes....epics, dramas, sagas! Which will be especially true with the party modifications because of weather.

It seems I've been missing all the fun!
I was wondering how they were going to respond to the snowpocalypse we are having in Indiana and I can't believe all the changes this year! I was totally shocked when I found out they changed 21 Party (before the weather) - they tried to move it all 4 years that I was at IU.
Excited to see how things pan out - I miss recruitment so much!

Vera Bradley also sent gifts to all the sorority houses.

That was very nice of Vera Bradley to do! Not to mention a great marketing tool. If you give me the wallet and I really like the print, I might buy the backpack or purse at a later date.
Hope you're surviving FR!

So far so good, but I have to admit, even though I like our skit, after the fourth viewing I stopping going into the dining room to watch. Not sure how the actives are going to stay looking interested by the 24th viewing!!!

Sorry I had to laugh! I remember having to be in those skits...luckily I only had to do it 15 times. :-) Doing anything like that 15 times is painful, I cannot (and do not) want to imagine 24 times.
I did a little quick math, if all 1616 girls attended preference (which we know they won't, but it would be nice if they did) and IU did quota/total not bed rush, quota would be 76 women. Those would be manageable new member classes.

The chapters offer beverages to the PNMs during those rounds only.

Cost and bathroom breaks, I suppose. There are PNMs who would be afraid to turn down the drink for misguided fear of being cut, imagine who many times said PNMs would need to use the facilities.

They would have to add a "Bathroom Round."
So do they get plain drinks or fancy drinks? Because if I was a party chair and came up with something clever for the drink, I would be super annoyed to only serve it to a fracture of the PNMs.

"clever" and "drinks" sounds a little suspect and reminds me of going through rush myself when a chapter served virgin strawberry daiquiris with long wooden skewers of frozen fruit. But they didn't plan for what to do with the drippy daggers of fruit once out of the glass, and you couldn't drink with the skewer in the glass. It was hysterical.

This round is sort of plain (we are serving pink lemonade). Next round they get a little more fancy- plus you get a small snack. 3 party you get fancy ( think cake pops and chocolates and sparking cider type stuff).

We obviously have different definitions of "manageable". I went to a school where total was 80 and NM classes hovered around 30-35.

I was wondering that myself. I was guessing that the only allowable drink (at least during 21 party) would be water. I'd hate to be a PNM and compare notes with another PNM and find out she got pink lemonade and iced tea and Coca-Cola during her drink rounds whereas I got water, water, and water. Also, if you're scheduled for a break during a drink round, do the rho chis (or whatever they are called at IU) give you something to drink?

Usually, drink rounds increased in 'fanciness'--21 party at all houses was water and soda/diet soda, 12 party was usually something a little fancier (like blue punch or whatever for adpi), 8 party was something even fancier (hot chocolate with a chocolate spoon with peppermint), and 3 party was sparkling cider.
You can carry water or something in your bag, usually if you have more than a 1 round break between parties you go back to whatever meeting place your rho gamma assigns (union, library, etc.) to hang out. It's not the hunger games
ETA: well it is the hunger games, but not because of drinks!
