Sounds like a good Greek school.

If ours was like that, I'd rather not be Greek.

You wouldn't go to a school like that in the first place so it's a moot point.

Not only that, I wouldn't take all she says as gospel. Even at "noncompetitive" schools there are people who don't get bids from any group.

..and thank goodness for that.

My sorority's the only NPC on campus, but even we have our standards.

Sororities all used to have whistles. Ours is even part of the constitution.
Anybody hear whistles anymore?
Hand signs will die out, too, one of these days.

I know my whistle, but only because I am a geek for all Gamma Phi traditions and songs.

I have seen one that is supposed to be a Gamma and a Phi - hope it doesn't catch on. I think it looks silly.

It's HIDEOUS. I saw some girls doing it at convention, and a few of us GCers were talking about it there.

I have never seen an ADPi chapter that doesn't make the "diamond" in photos-- and it is something regularly featured in photos ladies submit to the Adelphean. I respect the other organizations who discourage a handsign, but I think it is something that is pretty well integrated into ADPi.

I've seen one that's supposed to be two Kappas with a Gamma in the middle...I'm not a fan. We often make owl faces where you turn your hands upside-down on your face. I looked for a picture of us doing it, but I seriously can't find one online. Doh!

Yeah, they taught us the diamond on bid day and we do it in pretty much every picture.

I've seen Kappa Delta and Delta Upsilon a lot.

At least the diamond sign and KD sign are recognizable....some of us other NPC orgs are trying a bit too hard to find a hand sign and end up with some bizarre looking thing that looks stupid! I really DO NOT like the sign I see some AOII collegians doing in pics, and I've never seen it in our magazine.

That's exactly what I was going to say, a diamond is pretty easily formable with fingers. Other symbols not so much.
