there's an AOII who is smiling
and her eyes are too
there's an AOII who is waiting
waiting just for you
there's an AOII who will never
want a soul but you
there's an AOII who is whipering
sweetheart, we want you
...ok, i cant remeber if the last line is "we want you" or if its something else, cuz that sounds kinda funny. with our sisters we say, "we love you" but thats not appropriate during rush so we changed it to something else, but i cant remeber what it is now! lol

We have one that I loved but hasen't been used in a few years. Probably hasn't been used because it is super 80's and cheesy but always worked well for us!
My oh my it's time to say good bye
'cause it's really getting kind of late
But before you go we want you to know that the AOII's think your great
Well we think you're swell and to you we tell that the alpha's know you the best and so
Hurry back please do until then aidu from the AOII's to all of you!

Possibly my very fave KD song ever is "Dream Tonight." We use if as our exit song at Prefs - when I went through Prefs, it was stuck in my head all night!
"Always think of KD when you hear this melody.
We'll be wishing you goodnight in sleepy harmony.
May days all be bright ones, may cares all be light ones,
Tonight while moonlight beams.
Dream tonight of Kappa Delta, we will dream of you.
And when daylight comes again, our love will still be true.
So whisper goodnight dear, In stillness may you hear,
the Kappa Delta song of dreams."
We also sing this during a special big/lil thing. I LOVE this song!

Sorry to intrude, but when I went through rush another fraternity invited me to their smoker (serious) night. Fraternity no.2 had Brothers sing a Gaelic Blessing in a glee club-esque way before the event was over. At first, I thought the singing thing was kinda weird, but the actual song was touching. I think it works for sororities too...
Gaelic Blessing
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
and the rain fall upon your fields
and until we meet again
until we meet again
may the sun shine warm upon your face
until we meet again
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
and the rain fall upon your fields
So until we meet again
until we meet again
may you live long in the heart ofyour home
until we meet again

DG Songs
Anchor in your Eye
Do I see an anchor in your eye
An anchor of light and love
Do I hear you confess
Delta Gamma is best
And you'll hold her all other's above
Do I see a love of Delta G
that will linger as time goes by
For an anchor so true
Is waiting for you
If there's an anchor in your eye...
side note: placing an actual anchor in your eye maybe quite dangerous. LOL
Here is "Will you wear our Anchor?"
Will you wear our anchor
Will you be the one
Who will be our new sister
When morning comes
Will you sail tomorrow
On the Delta G
To new harbors of friendship
That you've yet to see
Our Captian is calling
Soon you will be gone
But remember that DG
Is where you belong
Will you wear our anchor
Wear our pin with pride
Will you be our new sister
You must decide...

Oh, duh! How could I forget my favorite Pref exit song? I learned it from ImsohappythatIama last year.
And now at the end of the week
Please stop and think about what you seek.
Our sisterhood so true would be glad to welcome you;
Come be a wearer of the Golden Key.
And our sisterhood will be stronger then,
Sharing Kappa love and loyalty.
You're each a special friend; don't let it end.
Come be a KKG.
We'll pick you up when you're feeling down.
We'll wipe away your tears when you cry.
We'll share with you all the happiness you've found,
Reflections of the joy in your eyes.
And our sisterhood will be stronger then,
Sharing Kappa love and loyalty.
You're each a special friend; don't let it end.
Come be a KKG.

They always say the next day that it was stuck in their heads all night! I know I had it wedged in mine during COB.
We also do a version of "My Oh My" like the AOII one:
My oh my, oh my it's time to say goodbye
Cause it's really gettin kind of late (clap clap)
But before you go we want you to know
That the Zetas think you're great (clap clap)
*Well we think you're swell and to you we tell
That we all agree you're the best indeed*
Hurry back, please do, until then adieu
From the Zetas to all of you (clap clap)
From the Zetas to all of you
*We harmonize that part, some girls going up and some down. It sounds really cool *

aww cute songs to all of u ladies ....
I would say my fav. song would be "Count on me" by whitney houston.
the lyrics are special and it lets the potentials see how close the sisters are.
Count on me through thick and thin, a friendship that will never end
when you are weak I will be strong helping you to carry on
Call on me I will be there, don't be afraid
please believe me when I say count on...
you kno the rest ....lol

Exit songs....BLECH! I thought they were creepy and got stuck in your head way too easily. Even a month after I pledged ADPi, I was still humming Gamma Phi's exit song to myself. Some that particularly stand out:
-One sorority that shall remain nameless sang this song that went"Walk walk and talk talk and live live Alpha Beta Gamma" (they weren't actually ABG) which would have been an ok (if slighlyt repetitive) by itself, but while they were walking girls out, they would swing their arms from right to left and snap while singing this song very quietly but smiling really weird. It totally had a cult vibe. Then, once everyone was outside, they started shouting the song. Creeeeeee-py.
-The song that my chapter sings has alternate lyrics. We have changed some words so that when we sing it on our own, the lyrics are talking about how we are going to steal girls from our rival house. The alternate version really pumps us up before rush parties.
-During DG's exit song last year, they were moving the shutters and banging on the windows like they always do, except the window broke and two girls fell out! The girls were fine, but at the same time it was really funny. No one wanted to be seen laughing though because the sisters could still see us! Truly an interesting moment.

My favorite goodbye song is....
The Alpha Chi Omega sisters say goodbye to you
We have had a real good time we hope you've had one to
Even though it's time to go our hearts will go with you
The Alpha Chi Omega sisters say goodbye to you!
Sung to the tune of Supercalifragi.....You get it right? It used to be "the girls of Alpha Chi omega say goodbye" but because of Panhel rules at the UA we can't the word girls so we changed it.
And Shopgirl, that song ALWAYS gets stuck in my head. It got stuck there when I was a freshman and then again last year when I was a Rho Chi. In fact since my girls were convinced I was a Sigma Kappa (your chapter in fact!) when we were thinking of how we were gonna reveal ourselves at the end of the week we thought of singing a door song from the chapter that most of them thought we were from and that was the song that I was gonna sing.
