Thank you Thank you to everyone! Now time for the story. I've been chatting with Danny on Yahoo since September. I wanted to get together with him but he had this thing where he thought he was too old for me. (I'll be 30 in July and he'll be 41 in April) We became good friends online and were chatting about life and love a lot. Talked each other through many a nights of loneliness. Well in December, I was going through a particularly rough patch. One of my coworkers told me to pray. To just give it all up to God and let him deal with it. So at lunch one day, I sat in my car crying my eyes out and praying. Little did I know, he did the same thing on the same day. Sounds kind of freaky at this point? Well the next night I went to stay at a hotel because my room mates were having a bit of a spat and I didn't want to be involved. So I get online looking for Danny. My rock in the troubled storm. Couldn't find him anywhere. Spent 2 hours trolling the rooms on Yahoo looking for him. Then out of no where, there he is! I tell him about the things going on and he decides that he's going to take me out to help me forget about my problems. He takes me out and we have a wonderful time. We start talking about things that happened in the past week and found out that we both prayed on the same day for the same thing. So kind of figured God was trying to send us a message.

As for the proposal, he told me that he was going to have to save money from each pay check before he could even afford the ring. So here I was, waiting patiently. Well he wanted to go to Outback this past Saturday for dinner. My coworkers were convinced that he was going to propose. I told them that they were insane. Well something happened and we weren't able to go to Outback. Instead he took me to this indian restaurant where they have these fabulous deserts! He looks at me and tells me he has to go to the bathroom. I didn't think anything of it. He comes back to the table and he's sweating like he's just ran a marathon. I asked him if he was ok. He's like "I'm hoping I'm about to be fantastic." He gets down on one knee in the crowded restaurant and proposed. I was so shocked but so happy! Even the girls 2 tables down were woohooing when he was done. It was a perfect day!

We set the date for 5/2/09. That's about all that we've done up to this point but will keep you all updated!

Just to let ya'll know, we bumped up the date. It's now going to be 6/7/08. The pastor we chose to do the ceremony is being "relieved" of his duties for our church so we were determined to have him marry us before he left. So now we're trying to get everything figured out. I'll keep you updated.

Wow!! How exciting! I think it is best to be engaged for a relatively short time. I was engaged for only four months. It was an exciting whirlwind!
