Video about "Running of the Brides" at Filene's Basement - Aventura Mall (Florida).

This looks CRAZY.

It's not actually in Aventura Mall. It's down the road. I'm surprised to see so many people there. I saw this on the news but I didn't realize it was so bad. Wow... And the strangest thing is that many of these people don't look like the people I would expect to do this down here.

They're beautiful...I like the second one. The sparkly look would be perfect for evening weddings.

I especially like this one:

The model looks kind of old and stodgy, but I think this would look awesome on a younger, less pained looking bride.

Nice little spam inserted in there. However, I beg to differ. If I had to do it all over again, I'd have rented my wedding gowns. Even before I divorced either husband, I had disposed of the respective wedding dress. I never saw the point in paying the money to have it boxed up to "save" on some shelf in the basement where it would just sit for the rest of my life. I know it's important to some people, but I think it's smart to know yourself. If you saved your prom corsage, then you may want to save your wedding dress too. If you hate clutter and are not a pack rat, rent a wedding gown. Your daughter probably is NOT going to want to wear the dated trendy dress.

I find that alot of women I know who are getting married aren't going with the "wear it once and then have it preserved" thing.

Alot of people I know are selling their wedding gowns via The Knot, eBay, etc. Then there are some who are donating gowns to charities like Brides Against Breast Cancer and such.

Even if it's "more nicer"?

I donated mine to the Salvation Army, with the proviso that it was to be given, not sold. And yes, it was before married life went sour.

I gave mine to the Salvation Army, too. I hope it made some little bride in Paris, TN happy!

YES because jeez, what in the world would you have to remember your special day if you didn't have an actual dress??? I mean, all those pictures, and the guest book, and all that other stuff PALES in comparison to the joy having a dress to look at will give you!

I hope to have whatever I choose altered or dyed so that I can wear it again. I most certainly don't want to give it up and I'd hate to waste money on a one day thing.

I posted this in another thread, but thought I'd add it here, as well. Gorgeous, gorgeous dress and bride. Daughter of a friend of mine, she recently graduated from UGA, where she and her sister were Delta Zetas. Our church is beautiful, and I love the pic of the doors.
