I've recently began listening to the oldies station while in the car and want to download, er, I mean purchase some oldies. Feel free to throw out some names for me. Thank ya much!

Ya know, 50s, 60s.
Barry White, Al Green, Chubby Checker, Temptations, Otis Redding, etc
I know the names of artists, but wouldn't know what songs are the good ones.

Well, this is right up my alley. But it needs to be narrowed down unless you are like me and love ALL kinds of music!
I wasn't as crazy abotthe 50's, but the 60's have all that beach themed music-Beach Boys-Supremes-Beatles-Great roups like the Tops-then you got into the begining of acid rock- Peter Paul and Mary- protest songs-quite a diverse group.
The 50's had stuff like American Graffti-I THINK that was the 50's music-Sha Na Na and the types smilar to "Where the Boys Are" Doris Day, Perry Como even Patty Duke!
Elvis started hitting big-Doo-whap (sp?) Delt Alum could really help you.
What "feel" are you looking for? I bet we could come up with SEVERAL you would love!

I love everything. If you want to suggest 20's, hell, I'll take it. I am, however, going more for the sounds of The Temptations, Four Tops, Otis Redding, etc. I hope that makes things clearer. Thank ya much!

50's/60's music
Frankie Valley and the 4 seasons are my all-time fave!
Songs that you probably know are
Oh, what a night (December '63)

Since I can't work now, I've got several more songs:
"Baby Love" and "Can't Hurry Love" - Diana Ross
"My Girl" and "Just My Imagination" - Temptations
"Devil With a Blue Dress" - Shorty Long
"Please Mr. Postman" - The Marvalettes
"You've Really Got A Hold On Me" - The Miracles
"How Sweet It Is" - Marvin Gaye
"I Can't Help Myself" (aka the sugar pie, honey bunch song) and
"Reach Out I'll Be There" - The Four Tops
"I Second That Emotion" - Smokey Robinson
"War" - Edwin Starr
Hope those work
I'm sure I'll figure out somemore
