It seems like some creative stacking is in the future for some groups/schools!
Arkansas and Ole Miss both have major housing obstacles.

I think another consideration about some schools is that they are starting to run out of sororities. They're almost to the point where everyone who wants to be there/would do well there/can afford to be there is there already. (Off the top of my head I'm thinking specifically of Indiana, Georgia, and Alabama.)

Yes, I've noticed that at some schools as well.

Along with all this, is the birth rate such that this kind of growth in college enrollment is going to continue?

Texas A&M's local sorority, Zeta Beta Sigma, is being absorbed by Alpha Epsilon Phi, which will colonize at TAMU, per ZBS president.

Per ZBS's website, they were given permission from CPC to seek national affiliation Spring 2014, and I had seen before that their goal was to affiliate with a historically jewish National. That's all I know though.

Are you just assuming the AEPhi part then? Because unless something changed, it isn't them.

The ZBS president told me last week that AEPhi was selected to colonize in February but I can't seem to find that information published anywhere.

I know they are being absorbed in the Spring. However, I don't believe the group has been announced officially by the powers that be.

Back to Georgia -- there are housing issues if you aren't on/immediately near Milledge. USC (South Carolina) is going to be interesting. The plans for a second Greek Village haven't been jump started in part because of the "who is going first" syndrome. (Phi Mu and AGD took over former fraternity houses in Village I.) Now we will see whether Pi Phi and AXiD pioneer the new village.

Although it's not official until it is officially announced, highly placed A&M source told me a few weeks ago that it was NOT AEPhi.

How much do you think housing locations matter? There was one chapter at my alma mater that was a little further from everything else, and I think that it probably hurt them in the pre-RFM days (i.e. "I got twelve invites and I have to drop someone pretty arbitrarily...hmmm...they're far away"), but I doubt that's the case now.
