The frills are what the PMNs like unfortunately. And with Pinterest it's easier to creep back into the frill zone without realizing it. Last year, I was talking with a PMN at a large SEC school and she told me that when she was ranking it was between two chapters for the last spot in the first group and she ranked the one with the "cute drink cups" higher than the one who used plain disposable cups. I kid you not.

OK, that's one for the "stupid reasons you pledged or cut a group" thread!

I think the no-frills thing gets ridiculous when they tell you you can only cut your fruit for pref night plates into squares and you can't use a melon baller, because not everyone can afford a $5 melon baller from walmart...

Quota
Primary quota was 65 and secondary quota was 17, for a total of 82. Sigma Kappa took quota plus seven for 89 fantastic new members!

Delta Gamma welcomed 82 New Members to our house last night. It is an amazing new member class and even the weather did not dampen spirits.

Yes, the women are beyond excited with their New Member Class! It was such a calm uneventful year with only one short rain delay - that in it itself is remarkable. Last year, we had tons of delays and a tree that crushed the Phi Mu tent during a storm, coming perilously close to the house. Fortunately, the parties were over for the day.
We did have lightning strike Delta Phi Epsilon, prior to recruitment, but no damage. The most dramatic issue was Kappa Kappa Gamma losing power for several hours during either round 2 or 3. Ugh! Recruiting without light is one thing, but no A/C in Florida, late in the afternoon in August.....no words to describe. However, they had lots of great women on their lawn bid day.
I will say the quality of women going through recruitment this year was just outstanding.
