Okay, I finally found the cord to my camera. I bought this badge about two months ago. It's a unique AOII badge from 1939. It has two styles of pearl settings in one badge which is very unusual, but before the early sixties, AOIIs could design each letter separately. This is the only one I've seen with both half- pearl and crown pearl settings in the same badge.
Half pearl A and Pi, Crown Pearl O.
Previously someone had asked to see the badges from the side to see what difference these settings made in the profile of the badges.
This is a little blurry, but you can get the idea. The first badge is a half pearl A, O with plain Pi. Second badge is a half pearl A, O and Pi. The third badge is the badge above. The last is a modern 10k gold plain badge.
My lifeloyal jewelry box with all but one of my badges. I really need to find a way to display my badge collection when I'm not wearing them.

Not much to share other than the fact that I was quite excited to see the addition of this page to our website....

I haven't looked at this thread in awhile, so hopefully that means there's a few pages of badges for me to drool over.

Thanks for sharing that link. Those badges are really beautiful, and I love the explanation for the stones chosen for each badge.

Can I be on the exec board of Tri Delta? I know I'm not a Tri Delta...but still! A special exception should be made for me, because emeralds are my birth stone!

You're welcome! I'm so happy that EO finally made a page like this, some girls I've met weren't even aware that there were different badges from our standard badge with the pearls. I wonder if it has anything to do with the lengthy email I wrote asking about more badge information a few months ago..
ms_gwyn: I agree! The pearls are pretty, but so many of the other gems really make the badge pop. Sarah Ida Shaw originally wanted emeralds as the standard gem in the stars, but pearls were chosen to make the badge affordable for everyone.
Also- I uploaded the pics to photobucket, so hopefully everyone can see them now!
Executive Board Badge - Emeralds
Traveling Field Consultant Badge - Aquamarine
National House Corp. Badge - Sapphires
Hope you can see them now! Sorry if they're a little big.

seeingstars, you beat me to posting these by a few minutes- I was just uploading them when I refreshed
They are STUNNING! I love the look of the chased crescent, and the colored stones are fantastic. Love!

^^^ the sapphires are my favorite. Thank you very much for sharing.
I'm still in a stupor over all the vintage Kappa Alpha Theta badges I saw at Grand Convention. The Grand Council was wearing the most exquisite badges (including the huge diamond President's badge); the Foundation Trustees and President had spectacular badges; there were many Thetas with their own vintage badges. I was totally gobsmacked the entire time. Everyone was so gracious about chatting with me.
The opal/diamond Zeta badge is most stunning. Thanks for the addition to my photo collection.

Well, here are the pics that I took at Convention. There was one more, a 1920s all-diamond badge, but it came out too blurry to post.
1893 Badge of Grace Webb, Alpha Chapter. All diamonds, large center diamond, larger overall size, stick pin guard, diamonds on Alpha.
1913 Badge of Lenore Latzer Gilloon, founding member of Omicron Chapter. Chased letters, large center diamond.
Badge of a former International President. White crescent, all diamonds.
Badge of a former International Council Member (non-president). White crescent, all pearls. It's on a necklace/pendant setting in the picture.
Unknown year, but I thought the pearls on the circle of the Phi only was really unique, as I've never seen one like that before.
