Doctor Who

Ahhh.....

I've watched a couple of episodes of the new Dr. Who and it's looking good - thankfully with much improved production values as compared to the original, while retaining the humorous and intelligent writing.

Has anyone else seen it?

I love this show! But I've always been a big fan of Dr. Who. I used to watch the classic episodes when I was younger. I am so excited that they've brought it back. I've caught every episode so far. On CBC, they've only aired the first 3 episode. I believe the UK is one or two episodes ahead.

Unfortunately, Christopher Eccleston will not be returning next season as the Dr. Instead, we will get Dr. #10.

I've been watching the new Doctor Who as well. It's not airing in the US, but I've found all four eps that have aired to date on the internet. They usually show up within a few hours of being aired in the UK.

So far so good... looking forward to more

I haven't seen the new one, as I am in the US, but I can't imagine a remake...

Though, I did end up liking the new BattleStar: Gallactica, so, I will hold off on judgement.

It's weird though, people just recently were asking me if my Doctor Who shirts were concert tees for The Who, like they did a tour called Doctor or something. It's amusing.

I haven't seen an episode since I was probably 6 years old, but I just remember my older cousin being fanatic about that show. He had my mom knit him a rediculously long scarf to wear. It is funny how all these things are resurfacing now.

The Doctor is a little cooler now. He's turned in the long scarf for a leather jacket.

Haha, I've knitted a ridiculously long scarf for my husband too. He's been into Doctor Who since he was a little boy. Besides, it comes in very handy during cold New England winters

Does anyone happen to know if the ORIGINAL shows are on DVD?

Has anyone heard yet if the new episodes will be airing in the US yet?

From the Canadian website, it looks like there were 13 episodes and he regenerated into incarnation #10.

As far as I know, there are still no plans to air them in the US.

Your information is correct. There were 13 episodes, and the Doctor did indeed regenerate. I believe the next new episode is a Christmas special, followed by another season that will start to air in January in the UK.

Yep the Christmas Invasion is coming up soon

Followed by the second season.... with cameo appearances by 'old' Dr. Who characters; some even reprising their old characters I can hardly wait.

AARRGHHH!!!!

Hope the SciFi Channel can get the rights to air them....intact and in order.....

Would love to find out also which of those characters will be making cameo appearances, probably past companions.

Late boots....

I finally started watching Doctor Who after being convinced to try them out. Plus they are free on Amazon Prime.

OMG SO MANY FEELINGS. I just started Season 3.
