OH, OK, so the court at Alabama, even though I already posted this in the Homecoming thread:

Queen= Kappa

"Lacey Valeska, a senior history major from Dothan, was voted Homecoming Queen. Valeska is president of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, secretary of Omicron Delta Kappa honor society and a member of Golden Key and the Order of Omega."

On Court: Alpha Gam, DST, Theta and one unaffiliated.

Capstone Gentleman= Sigma Chi

"Mike Kuffner, a senior accounting major from Huntsville, won the race for Capstone Gentleman. Kuffner is SGA vice president of financial affairs, a member of Mortar Board honor society and Sigma Chi fraternity and treasurer of You've Got a Friend."

On Court: Theta Chi and three unaffiliated.

Here is Lacy Valeska, this year's queen and president of Kappa.

She looks like Angie Harmon in that photo - does she in real life?

And that is one big honking tiara.

Sorry for the hijack, but am I the only one who noticed that there is no "H" on her homecoming sash?

Anyway, congrats to her and Kappa!

I think she's actually prettier in real life-- she is gorgeous.

And it's Alabama, home o beauty pagenats-- of course it's going to be a big honking tiara!

My chapter of KD (Xi, U of Pittsburgh) is represented on court, with queen to be announced today. Congrats to Dania Rudolph.

And before the other Pitt-sters ask, I have no clue who else is on court

YAY!!!

One of my chapter sisters won homecoming queen yesterday! This is so awesome for her and for our chapter since we've only been around for four years.

If I can find one later I will post a picture.

its a huge honor to be selected for homecoming court at my school (west virginia university). i know 41 girls applied and they only chose 5. you have to get recs from teachers and write essays and go through an interview process. one of my sisters made court so weve all been campaigning like crazy for her! the only other greek girl on court is a kappa kappa gamma. and one of the guys running is the president of FIJI. we find out if my sister sara wins next saturday, i cant wait!

At Elon, all the representatives are from campus organizations, mostly being Greek. Our nominee this year, Leslie, is beautiful and wonderful. And our male representative, Josh, is a fabulous Sigma Chi. We're keeping our fingers crossed for Saturday. We won overall Homecoming last year, but one org has won queen for the past 10 years or so. We're hoping to take the crown

Our nominee for queen was first runner up! And our king nominee was second runner up for king. We won the spirit award and I believe second place overall for Homecoming. It was my first homecoming as an alumna, and it was fantastic.

Okay, I can't possibly be the only one who's curious - which organization won queen for 10 years?! And who won this year?

This year one of my sisters made court. Along with her, we sponsored one of our sister's biologicol big brother as a rep for King (at my school you are allowed to sponsor a male and a female) who also made court. Needless to say, we definately freaked out when it was announced that they both won king AND Queen.

We just got a new house, so ALOT of our alumnae were up for a housewarming ceremony and the game. It was the best homecoming ever, especially our alumn seeing what their chapter has grown into!

At Nebraska, the Queen was a Gamma Phi (the girlfriend and most likely wife of one of my pledge brothers), and the King was a SigEp.
