If you're in Pittsburgh this weekend

A DG sister is married to an SAE alumnus and advisor. He has developed Lou Gehrig's disease, and is not well. In his honor, the SAE chapter at CMU has dedicated their annual Donut Dash to fundraising for this.

I quote from her email:

Sigma Alpha Epsilon's 2015 Donut Dash is Sunday, October 4, 2015.

Races begin 11:30 a.m. Registration & vendors start ~ 10 a.m.

This year's event will be centered in Schenley Plaza in Oakland (Forbes Ave side of Pitt's Cathedral of Learning, between Carnegie Museum/Library & Hillman Library). Donut Dash has 4 divisions: Competitive, Team, Casual, and Family. Participants will run into Schenley Park in front of Phipps Conservatory...then return to the Plaza, thus completing one mile. They will then eat 6 donuts (or as many as you like in the Casual Division) and run/walk the course again to complete a second mile.

We hope you'll come join us that morning when the races begin around 10 a.m. Don't worry about participating in the "race"---if you're in town, just come and hang out with us! Check out the weblink below for more info:

Free parking: Schenley Park roads, on CMU's campus streets (Frew, Margaret Morrison) or in the CMU parking garage on Forbes Avenue. Carnegie Museum's parking garage has a flat rate of $5.
