Oklahoma State AOII Freshman Killed in Auto Accident

Savannah Piatt, an AOII new member at Oklahoma State, was killed in a single car accident Sunday morning.

The driver, a junior and a member of Kappa Alpha, was legally drunk and speeding. Police also found an unsent text message on his phone at the time of the crash. He survived and is in stable condition.

Heartbreaking. This morning's news said the driver would likely be charged with vehicular manslaughter.

Heartbreaking for two families. I can't even imagine receiving that phone call as a parent. Devastating.

The girls as can be expected are shocked and sad. Young people think they're indestructable and this has definitely hit home. The girls will be wearing blue ribbons in honor of their sister this week.

My thoughts and prayers go out to both families during this very difficult time.
