Unhappy Have you ever been busted?

Has anyone ever been busted talking behind someone's back? A close friend, a co-worker, a boss?

And I'm not talking about getting busted in a lie. I'm talking about saying something negative about the person in question and then finding them standing right there. Having heard EVERYTHING .

(not that I just majorly got busted or anything... )

I haven't ever been busted but I totally busted one of my friends one night. She was jealous because a guy we were both into was interested in me. So the guy and I are hanging out for a couple weeks when my friend gets hammered and is sitting on the deck with the guy and decides to tell him every bad thing she knows about me. Not that any of it was super horrible, but definitely stuff a guy does not need to hear. The funny part is that I was right inside the sliding door the WHOLE TIME and heard everything she said. He told me the next day also, but that girl had some serious explaining to do and we aren't really friends anymore...moral of the story is if you're going to talk shit, make sure the doors and windows are shut.

One of my committee members wasn't doing her job, so I kinda told that to the pres. He ended up talking to her about her not doing her job and that other members have noticed but he didnt mention my name. She ended up mentioning it at the meeting that someone was talking about her behind her back and she wants to know..and she got a bit teary. I have never felt so bad (even though I didnt say anything about her 'cept that she wasnt pulling her weight). Couldn't look at the girl in the eyes...

So I was pretty close to being busted **pheew**

I haven't been bust YET. I don't know for how long. I got busted on the internet a few times, but not in real life. I really need to kick this habit of gossiping. What's funny is that gossiping is a relatively new bad habit of mine. I didn't start gossiping until a year ago.

I've been busted a few times, where the person walks up and we all stop talking and they KNOW we were talking about them. Then said person IM's me later and asks me what we said about them and I proceed to be honest and tell them.

If I have a problem with someone, I say it to their face. I never saw the point of talking behind someone's back just to vent. People will respect you more for that (at least that's what they'll say until your back is turned

Busted some people in the past for talking shit about me. Never really cared though, obviously they don't care enough to speak to me directly about it, so then I never really cared what they had to say...

Funny you say that because this morning we were having our regional call with the SVP of the company and one of guys I work with made a comment like....Talking to this guy is worthless and a waste of time. Yep he was still on speaker phone.

LOL I thought you were asking about our criminal histories. To answer the question you really asked, no.

Yes...

In a bad, bad way...

But then again when called on it, they couldn't refute it...

I was in the SUB one day after French class telling one of my sorority sisters about what a stinky ugly and stupid you know what my French teacher was. Well, I turned around and she was sitting at the table behind me.

I personally haven't been caught, a few close calls but I got my mouth shut in time.
I caught someone expressing their opinion about me---- the person reported to me at work. She had issues with our age difference-- I was 23 and she was 40, and it was clear she didn't think she should report to me. She was discussing what a bitch I was on an email--she entered the wrong address into the To: line--- she entered my name in and I recieved it.
I printed it and laid it on her desk and told her that one should be careful with what they put in writing and to whom they enter into the distribution line. And I walked off.

remember.. i'm still in hs. anyways one time i was talking bad about this girl in the girl's bathroom and she was in the stall and had heard EVERYTHING. it was horrible, there was no way out of it so we just confronted eachother about it and i just left. i never want to experience that again! and it's not as if i'm the type of person that spreads rumors or anything. i probably talk bad about someone once a year. how horrible.
