Furman presentations are this fall, which is why it should be listed. Same for Nevada-Reno.

Emory is exciting as there are quite a few closed chapters there!

Also, has anyone heard any news about Furman? Alpha Phi, Phi Mu, and Zeta Tau Alpha were invited to present last year, but no news has ever come out.

Not surprised on this one. Greek life has gotten pretty big at Coe. I live 10 minutes from the Campus

I think part of the "problem" with Emory is that people expect its Greek scene to be "southern" since it's in Atlanta, but it is so much more like a northern school.
Side note: cringing at "Oklahoma University." Although it is OU, it is always spoken as the University of Oklahoma in these parts.

Just curious, but what prompted Oklahoma to be OU instead of UO? I wouldn't confuse them with the Ducks, and two UOs couldn't be any worse than half a dozen U of As. Just curious about the origin.

Born & raised in Oklahoma and went to both OU (& TU).
OU gladly accepted my tuition checks written out to Oklahoma University.

Maybe it just rolls off the tongue better? TU is the same way - spoken it is the University of Tulsa, but shortens to TU.

Wow, you weren't kidding. It looks as though Emory has lost a few chapters. What do you mean it's more like a northern school? Do you mean that Greek life isn't as prominent there or as big of a deal? I don't know much about Atlanta.

Private, research-oriented, rigorously academic and the student body is not predominantly drawn from the South.

Oh wow. I knew there was talk about Truman opening, but I didn't realize it was that close to a decision. I really hope Alpha Phi presents.
