I was dating a guy, pushed him to join the greek system and he kept telling me it wasn't for him, i dropped the topic - and then he broke up with me and joined a fraternity, the exact one I kept telling him to join too - now I have to see him everywhere

I'm so tired of running into ex-boyfriends everywhere. Can't they just not be anywhere that I am? It shouldn't be that difficult.

I was looking for this thread. I want to post that I’m going to be in a wedding this weekend. I’m a groomsman. But a few years ago I was the best man in my frat brother’s wedding. So, in all the weddings I’ve been to, there’s a bride and groom dance. They picked Giving You The Best That I’ve Got by Anita Baker. That song has been stuck in my head all day and made me think of that day.
https://youtu.be/gKGj8XwooYQ

They were together for 6 years, but divorced in 2. I guess somebody or both didn’t give the best they had. I’m still trying to figure out at what time did “Giving you the best that I’ve got” end up “Giving your ass the blues in court” Lol. She put him through hell and back with their kid.

Interesting how a lot of focus rest on the wedding but little attention is given to the marriage itself with most couples I know.

You are so right, Phrozen Sands! Too many people focus on the par-tay of the wedding, and don't work on the marriage itself. Granted, I wish our wedding had been a bit more, well, interesting, but the marriage itself has been meaningful!

May you all be fulfilled in your marriages, as opposed to throwing an amazing wedding!

Preach, honeychile! Preach! I couldn’t agree with you more. I think that’s why I’m so reluctant to do it Lol

I’ll post my friend’s wedding details this weekend. I’ve never even met the woman he’s marrying. I knew one thing he had a girlfriend he was with for a year, then less than a year later, I’m asked to be a groomsman in the wedding. Should be interesting.

I can think of a million other things I can do with my Saturday, but being in a wedding isn’t one of them. There are a lot of things I don’t like, but three of them are … wearing/renting a tux, returning the tux, and being in weddings. It could be worse, it could be my own wedding Lol.
