Grad Classes!
African American Poetry and Poetics
Advanced Poetry Workshop
I wantedto take it easy for my first semester in grad school and make sure I get A's! There might be some semesters that I take twice that, like if I have an internship related to the field.
PS - I'm in an MFA program.
PPS - I get to watch SLAM! and listen to OUTKAST for my African American Poetry class!

At least physics lab is all I have on Thursday, but I go straight through from 11 am to 4 pm on Mondays
And the professor for EE 308 was named on MIT's 100 people that are going to change our world list. No pressure there!

Classes! Classes!
My classes, as of now, for next semestre:
French Culture & Writing II
Linear Algebra
Intro to Philosophy
Tennis (!!!)
I'm a bit annoyed that my French class will be meeting at 8:50 two days a week. That was the only section of this class, too. This better be worth it.
It's been too long since I've taken a math class! I'm actually looking forward to getting back into my analytical mindset for this class.
Intro to Philosophy--I can't say I have high expectations for this class; it is an intro class. My dad is really into philsophy, and I am quite a bit like my dad, so who knows what may happen. (But I will NOT become a philosophy major, that's for sure.)
I don't really count Tennis as a class, per se, because it does not count for credits. I am really looking forward to it though; I bought a racket last weekend
I am actually looking to take a fourth class (tennis doesn'tcount, remember?). The choices: English, History, Linguistics, and Computer Science. Since I am planning to switch to a math major, I am leaning towards CS.
And I'm looking forward to my first semester as a new brother, of COURSE!

Tennis!
hey dieusaxa5,
Tennis, how fun! I had that both semesters last yr. But for us it was considered a PE credit. In the fall I had it at 10:30am and this spring it was at 8:55am!! Never take it as your first class. Bad news. LOL. 10:30 was bad enough....Tennis is fun though
Have fun playing!

19th Century Europe (3)
Theatre Appreciation (3)
Intro to Media Systems (3)
New Jersey Politics (3)

Tennis Rocks
Hello Tink16!
I'm planning on taking tennis over the entirety of next year, myself. Fortunately, the next level class occurs later--that is, Tennis II is at 10:15. I like that
Were you a novice when you started the class? How well do you play now? Perhaps in a year I can challenge you--I've already got some matches back at home that are waiting when I finish this class
Sheesh, you had tennis that early in the morning? Well, I'm sure it was not totally bad. It really is cool to get a workout of any form in the morning, and it really can put a very positive spin on the rest of your day. At least it can for me
Question: are you into racquetball too? and what school do you attend? I have always been a fan of the PE requirement in schools, so of course that means I attend one without the req ::shrug::

Next semester is going to be a busy one for me. I am taking 19 credit hours. My classes go as follows.
Social Dance (1)
German 302 (3)
Chem 100 (3)
Hist 151 (3) (world Civ)
Hist 202 (3) (us post 1877)
Pols 130 (3)
Edpsych 390 (3)
Seems like alot, but I am sure that I will do ok. The Chem class is just a lecture becuase it is basic so I dont have to worry abo0ut making it to class and then to a lab or anything. The other stuff is pretty easy for me because most of it has to do with my major or minor. Good luck in the fall everyone.

Ugh. I totally hate thinking about this semester--I think it's going to kill me.
Income Taxation (4) YUUUUUUUCCCKKKKK
Estate & Gift Tax (3) Not as bad as the above...
Evidence (4)..should be interesting, but I'm taking the "easy" prof.
Employment Law (2) - scary prof (think "Paper Chase"), but interesting subject
Jewish Law (2)- my one fun class-taught by a Mormon...
Insurance Law (2) - No idea what to expect...figure I should know the subject.
I am not excited about taking 17 hours of law courses...fortunately, my evidence prof doesn't take roll, and his exams are based on a class script that everyone has...so I will teach that one to myself. On top of all this--I will be working 15-20 hours a week at a local title company/law firm, and oh--did I mention I have kids? EEEEEKKKKK!!!!!
