help me think of a nickname!
Hello -
Please help me think of a nickname for my little sister!
I don't have much time and I am stuck!
She has the same tattoo as me (a dove and the word peace), so I want to do something involving that.
I'm looking for a one word, cute nickname.
Things I've been looking at - mimic, twin, birthmark, symbol, trademark, feather (like birds of a feather flock together), etc.
those are ideas along the line of it but they are all hideous nicknames lol..
isn't there a word for this? when two people have similar markings?
or isn't there like an animal who's sister has similar markings or something?
please help me think of something clever - and fast!

In what part of the pledge process do you give the names? We do ours at initiation after we've really got the time to know our little brothers.

For some reason, the idea of two identical doves just reminded me of Home Alone II when Kevin gets those two turtle dove ornaments, and he gives one to the homeless woman...
"They're turtle doves. You have one, I have one. As long as we each have a turtle dove, we'll be friends forever."
Call her "McCallister"

Now that is the type of creativity I like when it comes to picking names. I'm just gonna cast my vote for this "McCallister."

I'd be so offended if my big, sis mom, sisters, friends, whoever, felt like they had to ask strangers on the internet for a nickname. I'd rather have a not fab nickname from people who know me than one suggested by strangers.
Even though some nicknames I've been given aren't the most flattering or even appropriate for public, at least there is some thought, a story, or an experience behind it. I mean being called "Mrs. Robinson" isn't the best, but I own it for a reason.

I see your point here. In my experience, the best nicknames are the ones which just "happen". You can't really force a good nickname, you know?

LOL! "Mrs. Robinson"
Through my work with the military, I've picked up a few nicknames along the way as each branch (Army, Marine, etc) refused to use the nickname that another branch came up with and wanted one of their own for me.
Then, one day, I was at a meeting at the fire department and one of the firefighters overheard me mentioning [to someone else] an amusing nickname that a friend had once given me. That was it....that was all he needed to hear. He immediately went and blabbed it to everyone and it stuck. 'Cause, you know, they never use the nice nickname, they use the most embarrassing or awkward sounding one. The military units eventually picked up the fire dept's lead - they all agree and use the same one now.
My call sign is "Bad Kitty".
Yes, I get a lot of funny looks; but, I own it.
amanda10289, I know you probably needed the nickname for a craft project or something....but you just can't force it. I hope you eventually came up with something good!

Let's just say younger men hit on me, and they are so young it would be illegal. I don't know why high school boys think I am the bee's knees. I am not interested in being another Mary Kaye Letourneau or some creepy predatory teacher.
