Really??? That’s terrible. My God, what is wrong with people today?

The weirdest thing happened to me today. A dentist gave me his card incase I was in need of a dentist, yet, his teeth were stained and effed up beyond belief. How does that even make sense? — A dentist with bad teeth…. Wtf?

I'm remembering an old cartoon drawing of the only two barbers in one town, one a disheveled hippie with long hair and a beard but the other clean shaven and well coiffed. The caption inquired of the reader "If you had only these two barbers from which to choose, which barber would you have cut your hair". And of course their answer was the hippie, because look how well he grooms the other barber!

That cartoon may have been in a long-ago MAD magazine.

I'm remembering the old adage about how the shoemaker's kids go without shoes. There's some truth to that--I know a lot of doctors who don't get treated themselves for serious but treatable problems.

This is one drawback of HD TV -- there are are lot of people out there whose teeth we really don't need to see with that level of resolution.

Talking

I wanted to find which issue had JFK's family singing to Gilbert and Sullivan operettas--nobody I knew could even remember that!--and they posted it!

"He bought Wisconsin with his dough for thee--and now you are the leader of the whole coun-tree!"

I love everyone who donates presents for kids for the holidays. Every time I come to work, it brings me so much joy to see how many people in these tough times, have given so much. The people we serve are really grateful.

This is the first Christmas season in so long that I’m actually enjoying, and I think it’s because I’m in touch with the real meaning behind it!

I just read your post again. We are contributors to various Christmas charities where I actually pick out the toys. I always wonder if the families appreciate the effort and the gifts for the children. We started buying toys because of a military friend who sadly stated after all these years that she got nothing for Christmas because of poverty and she wanted to do her part to prevent that for future generations.

Thank you for all you do *winter*

Yet none called a Cereal Bowl.

Oh, the curse of the trend of newly painted grey, white, and/or black home exteriors. Soooo bland. Soooo neutral.

I gotta get a new job. A layoff is coming... I can feel it. And, I mean, see it everyday on LinkedIn.
