We have them here in Naples, but then-we have a lot of Midwestern snowbirds too.

I just gave up last night and we had baked beans and weiners.

Making chili with ground white-meat turkey—another cold, rainy snap in Indiana. 72 degrees one week, 38 degrees the next?! We’ll enjoy the leftovers for sure.
It’s been a CRAZY spring!

I am back on my keto diet for a while. I made smothered pork chops, broccoli and a salad.

Sounds yummy!

It's Thursday, we'll be hitting Chick-fil-A tonight on our way to Bible Study! We are much too predictable!

I know Halloween is past us, but does anyone have food traditions for the evening?
We have made chili and cornbread forever since our children were small.
I am happy to say both girls have carried on the meal with their own families.

Yes, I roll up wieners in biscuit dough and make them look like mummies. I also cut jack o' lantern faces onto slices of cheese and put them on hamburger patties.

That sounds really cute! I may have to steal that idea.

It's fast (we leave when dark falls) and easy (I don't have time to get fancy between work and leaving to trick or treat!)

That is exactly why I started making chili in the crockpot. No time between work and trick or treating.

We had grilled cheese sandwiches tonight. I'm on some serious medication & really wasn't up for anything exciting.
