Trust your gut in these situations. Good luck with the job search.

This is the struggle- and they are demanding we go back in the office all at the same time despite the fact that the space they've allocated to us will seat only 70% of us. They are moving us to a new space which triples my commute. It's a nightmare. But is it a scary time to change companies if layoffs are looming?

Yeah, I definitely learned ^^^this lesson at my first company out of teaching. Didn't listen to my gut and got blind sided a month later. At my last company, I had the same feeling and thankfully landed a job 3mo before the whole team I was on go the ax.

There's a buzz about it among the staff - particularly those of us in the US - we know we're more expensive. Some people are waiting to see how this quarter goes - not me. I've started slacking at my job so I can focus on applying.

Yeah, I've def thought about this too but my company (a start up) laid off 9 people (11% of headcount) in December. Anyone who's paying attention can see, at least at my company, that new business is not coming in. We haven't had a new paying client in a few months so staying is also the same risk as changing jobs.

Our conspiracy theory is that they are making our work life so miserable that a bunch of people leave. We've lost 4 in my dept (of 240) since they announced return to office but bonuses are end of February and smart people don't leave before that. But we expect there will be a mass exodus after bonus payouts. Maybe they'll relax the return to office thing then.

Got 3 interviews this week - one is a 3rd round. Other 2 are screening calls. Waiting on 2 more companies to confirm day/time as well. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I’ve been watching “I am a Stalker” on Netflix. Sounds like she might be an episode. Seriously, you might be able to get a restraining order. It seems to be the first cog in the legal wheel. Stay safe.

23 Baltimore schools have zero kids proficient in math.

I’m really, truly afraid of the direction the world is going in some days…

What an insane day in the NBA with all the trades going on yesterday. The Biggest Winner of this is The Phoenix Suns getting Kevin Durant, the biggest risk winner is Dallas with them acquiring Kyrie Irving and the biggest losers are the Lakers.

I'm so glad the Cavs didn't get involved.

Can we fast forward to 2030 because this decade has been insanity since it started. Pandemic, insurrection, war in Ukraine, crazy numbers of natural disasters and UFOs being shot down all over the damn place. What the hell?
