Recruitment survival bag
My daugher, her roommate and several friends have recruitment coming up and I wanted to give them each a "survival bag". I am looking for some ideas to fill them. So far I have:
- mints
- gum
- band aids
- asprin
- hand cream
- lip gloss
- small brush and mirror
Any other thoughts as to what I can give them in a little zip pouch?

*mini sized versions of their fave candy (just in case it's a long day and they need something to munch on)
*travel sized hairspray (for fixing any fly-aways in between parties)

Thanks so very much. I think this will be fun putting them together! At least it will keep my anxious hands busy. Any other suggestions, just let me know!

Or a power bar, or something with protein

Have dinner sent to them one night! They'll be so tired and it will be such a welcome treat! Or send your daughter flowers on the morning of prefs
There's only so much stuff she and her friends can take to recruitment and their Recruitment Counselors will have most of that stuff on hand.

Sounds like you've got a pretty thorough list.
I would reiterate the mints and tide pen, but leave out the gum. It's not a good idea to have gum during parties, and before the party, the last thing you want to have to do is remember to spit out your gum.

Good thought on the gum! I will ask my daughter what the gamma chi's will have there for them. I loved the idea of flowers before prefs! Thanks so much.

That was the first thing I thought of, too! I think it would be a great asset to have as a PNM, and something not all of them think of. It is helpful so that you can write down members' names, what you talked about, etc. so that next party you won't have the awkward pause when you look down at someone's name tag and can reference what the person said before hand.
