We do Drink Beer, I'm an Asshole, Rick Rack, and Here's to Brother _____.

Those are all sung with just brothers (minus Rick Rack). And for our Here's to Brother _____, the middle line is 'he eats and he beat it and he always mistreats it.' After the 'drink mfer's, its 'while we are waiting he is masturbating.'

Rick Rack is:
Rick rack click clack who the hell are we?
Zim zam hot damn we're from SPE, yeah!

And then we do the toast at random events with any beverage.
Here's to the brothers of Sigma
And here's to the fellas of Phi
An Epsilon stein or a beaker of wine
Means more than the mud in your eye.

So here's to the sword in the heart
And here's to the pledge that we said
Let never we sever our friendship forever
Drink deep to the Purple and Red.

This thread is the WORST and is touting something that contributes negatively to the overall image of Greek Life. Can some moderator lock it down? I can't take it anymore!

There is nothing negative about this thread.

I am sorry but you are mistaken. Cheers about drinking and cheers that are derogatory to women (if you can't come in her come one her) are wrong and are against ALL of our values. It might have been fun or funny in the 70's and 80's but it isn't funny anymore.

Yes. Because, of course, every single fraternity and sorority is 100% alcohol free and the fraternity guys just go around fucking the sorority girls and the sorority girls are just drunk sluts with their legs always open. (hah, contradiction)

Yup. That's definitely how it is.

A TKE taught me this one...

Heres to the girls that we like to call honey.
They like to drink and spend our money.
We take them to bed and they close their legs tight
and say godnight honey.

here's to brother

Our chapter has a variation of here's to brother....

Here's to brother _______, He is a Phi Kap
He eats it, He beats it, He always mistreats,
here's to brother _______, He is a Phi Kap
god bless you ( times 4, and at the same time sprinkle with water)
here's to brother _______, He is a Phi Kap
So, So, drink m*f* (etc.)

/*******************************/
another chant we do is

here's to the breezes
that blow through the treeses
that lifts the girls skirts
above there kneeses
that shows us the spot
the magic tw**
and thats where get our diseases

================

I missed the part where someone was holding a gun to your head and forcing you to monitor this thread. If you can't take it anymore then just ignore it.

While some of the chants and toasts may be viewed as a bit silly and less than appropriate for use in certain circumstances they would not persist unless they were popular with those who use them. Are we considering establishing some sort of 'morals police' to determine what is allowed to be popular? I ran across some of those fellows a few years back when I was forward deployed. Given the choice, I really think the off color joke and the not terribly polite chant beats hell out of coercing our fraternity men to adopt ladylike behaviour and our sorority women to adopt absurdly limiting restrictions. Seems to me that the current rules governing sororities are overly strict and in some cases rather pointless as it is.

As a man I firmly believe that women can behave as ladies without being by any means insipid. Do any sorority women really want to see men reduced to ever so polite wimpness? There is a great deal of difference between being a gentleman (emphasis on man) and being just incidentally male.

Before anyone picks up on a peripheral point, chants and toasts do not make a man, they do however appeal to a certain aspect of the young male. This is a natural part of the way we are. Do we want to mess with what Mother Nature put into the design specs?

Some random thoughts here but I offer them for consideration. I am a bit concerned that PC could in the long run be more destructive than non-PC.

MoP,

I am not surprised in the least that this thread was started by a Sig Tau...

...CHEERS!

A few from my own beloved chapter:

To the drinkers,
To the thinkers,
To us all,
To Sig Tau!

--

Here is to you,
and here is to me,
my friend and my brother
you will always be,
but if we should ever
disagree,
then f**k you, my friend!
and here's to me!

--

To our women, and our beer,
may neither be flat!

--

<sung to the tune of "My Darling Clementine">
I'm an a**hole
I'm an a**hole
I'm an a**hole 'til I die,
But I'd rather be an a**hole
Than a [GLO's whos last letter rhymes with "die"]

--

We've also done some modified versions of Billy Joel's "Pianoman" and Bon Jovi's "Living On A Prayer," but those are usually specific to a certain brother.

Happy drinking,
Everyone,

Keep it classy,

-J.

Here is one from us Delts down in Rolla Missouri:

Here's to brother _________, brother__________, brother__________
Here's to brother_________ who's with us today
He's Happy, He's Jolly, He's Horny by golly

So drink MotherF%$ker, drink MotherF%$ker (repeatedly fast till he finishes)

Note: This can be a sorority song to or if a girl is doing just change brother to sister.

we actually have a few, but here is one.

Had Bacchus lived with me and mine,
He would have drank no wine, no wine
But said his pray’rs with conscience clear,
And tasted naught but Psi U beer.
Poor Bacchus!
He did lack us;
In all Olympus far and near,
He found no drop of Psi U beer.
—2—
Apollo, with his golden locks,
Had he been truly orthodox,
Would have stopp’d his chariot here,
And swigged a mug of Psi U beer.
Poor Apollo
Had to follow
His sundry courses all the year,
Without a drop of Psi U beer.
—3—
If Jove had learned a Christian creed,
He would have sent down Ganymede,
To buy him in this mundane sphere
A valiant mug of Psi U beer.
Poor Jovey!
What a covey!
Preferred to take his nectar clear,
And never tasted Psi U beer!
—4—
Come, Lay aside your learnéd tomes,
And seize your tankard while it foams;
We need amid our toil severe,
Ein Frisches Glas of Psi U beer.
Of men or gods,
We ask no odds,
If so they let us linger here,
To quaff, to quaff our Psi U beer

pshsx1, you have the toast entirely wrong because if you read what you're actually saying it makes no sense at all.

The actual version goes as follows:

We drink to the brothers of Sigma
And here's to the fellas of Phi
An Epsilon stein nor beaker of wine
Means more than the mud in your eye.

So here's to the sword and the heart
And here's to the pledges that we said
Let never dissever our friendship forever
We drink to the Purple and Red.

we also do the toast a lot differently at my chapter and it's longer because we have a few extra verses . It varies chapter to chapter but it's got the same two verses.

We also sing to our brothers "here's to brother..."
We do the breezes one
and asshole song
and the "# douchebags tied in a knot"
Every brotherhood has a variation of a lot of the same chants/toasts
but i would never put our other local stuff on here (written by our chapter) cause we are taught to never write it down

We're the exact same with local, but the toast is generally known everywhere and was already posted, but you're right variations are expected, although the chant was very specifically written by Dr. Seuss.
