What is everyone cooking?

I'm making shrimp and grits.

Brats, German potato salad, sauerkraut, applesauce tonight (we didn't exactly go light the day before the Super Bowl -- oops).

Hubby is in charge tomorrow -- he always cooks on football watching days. He made two trips to the store today.

Earlier I put together our neighbor's recipe for homemade ground beef soup, to be combined with a 9" American Sub from a local deli, for Game Day eats. IF there are leftovers, the soup freezes well.

Grandmother's German Potato Salad will have to wait for another day; as a first-time recipe attempt, did not think I could do it justice.

GO CHIEFS!

And delicious eating to all GC Game Watchers.

Kheema. (Indian curry. Usually the main ingredient is ground lamb, but I use ground beef. Onion, cumin, coriander, cayenne. I made this for my boyfriend 23 years ago and he's now my husband of 20 years )

Also, basmati rice, raita (cucumber and sour cream), Major Grey chutney, and cilantro.

Best place for Indian food in New Orleans? Chez aephi alum.
