My next door neighbor (literally 6 feet away) walked out of his condo wearing PKT letters. My jaw dropped. He's been my neighbor for 2 years. After my introduction and "verification" as an initiate, we both laughed. Small world.....

Calling all Thetas!
Just watched “Morning Joe” on MSNBC with Sheryl Crow. She played a new song about the current state of political affairs in this country and discussed the importance of more women in power in this country.
Claire McCaskill (former MO Senator) greeted Cheryl and said: “It’s so good to see you—we share a state, a college (U of Mo) and a sorority—Kappa Alpha Theta!”
It was a beautiful moment and McCaskill thanked Crow for always supporting her!

While driving last week, noticed a very small group of covid-careful Phi Mu women taking pix with their sorority flag by the campus main gates. The week prior another small group of women were posing for pix at same location, but IDK if they were greek or from another campus organization. Virtual sorority recruitment begins later in September, and I am really going to miss seeing Bid Day on campus because it is also carefully virtual.

Ok.....now *here's* a good one! Last night, I was watching a National Geographic Channel program called "Atlas of Cursed Places" and the episode was "The Curse of the Bermuda Triangle". In this program, the host researches the science and myths behind the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle. In one segment, they sailed out to a shipwreck that was previously used as a bombing target. During the underwater footage of that shipwreck, something caught my eye. I had to scroll back my DVR and watch it again. Yep! That is what I thought I saw!

I was once in London on a sort of class trip for my high school. I was basically a chaperone at the age of 19 (the English teacher who led the trip and I were pals).
In any case, I was walking around the city of London, wearing my letters, when some man came up to about a foot in front of me, stuck his hand out, and asked our "secret question." I was dumbfounded for a few moments, not realizing what was happening, before I shook his hand and replied.
We spoke for a few minutes. It wasn't really "seeing" my letters, but I am sure it was that feeling for him.
The other time was when a Delta Sigma Phi house was featured in Aquafina commercial. (They used to make all these commercials replacing beers with Aquafina at bars and, in this case, a "frat party." It was quite funny)
