I've wondered if it is a backup plan for seasons when there are no medical evacuations. They start with more people than they did originally (20 vs. 18) and they do have three people instead of two at the final tribal council, but that still leaves an extra person to get rid of somehow. If someone was medically evacuated, perhaps there wouldn't be a double TC episode? Just a thought.
Not at all sure who to root for at this point. I guess Brenda.

Wasn't Shemar medically evacuated? Or did he leave at a TC? I was thinking his eye injury forced him off early, but I might be mis-remembering that.

I'm pulling for Cochran or Dawn. They're both playing much better games this time around (although I find them both less likeable than their first time around - go figure).

I'd like to see Cochran win. I'd be okay with Eric or Brenda. I'm tired of Dawn breathing like she's in a lamaze class.

You're right. I forgot about Shemar. There goes that theory.
I think I liked Dawn a lot more on her last season than on this one. I didn't really like Cochran the first time. I like him better this time, but he's not my favorite, I don't think.

LOL. I think I'd rather see Dawn win than Erik, though. I just haven't seen him do anything. He keeps talking about making big moves, but then never follows through.

Maybe not making a big move is his big move? It's working so far.
I'd love to see Cochran win, but I don't see it happening. I think he'll be voted off before he gets to the final 3.

Interesting episode Wednesday night! And based on the previews of the finale, we're in for an interesting episode Sunday night, too.
I think the reasoning behind voting off Brenda was solid. It made a lot of sense. I felt bad for her, though. I don't remember the last time I saw someone genuinely cry like that after the vote. If any of the Alliance of Six are in the final three, I doubt they will get Brenda's vote.
Is discussing info seen in the previews worthy of spoiler-font? Just in case...
It looks like there's another medical evacuation in the up-coming episode. I wonder if Erik's comments in the most recent episode are foreshadowing his evacuation Sunday night. He made several references to not being looked down upon if he were to be removed from the game due to an injury as opposed to being voted out. I hate to see anyone medically evacuated from the game (except maybe that awful, gay Republican* whose name escapes me - I didn't mind to see him go), but at this point, I think Erik is my least favorite.
*Note: I am not judging all gays, all Republicans, nor all gay Republicans. Just that cocky one who was a little bitch.

The returning contestants theme has been overdone, so I did not view very much of this season. Dawn or Cochran winning (has he EVER been called by his given name of John by other contestants?) seems likely, but I'll guess Dawn gets rid of him before final tribal and takes credit for some of his maneuvers/strategy in her final tribal conversations.
Erik hasn't done enough to win this time.
A great show tonight would be Sherry or Eddie winning. A pox on returnees, they had their chance!

I'm happy with the result!
Re: Brenda's pregnancy... so this finished filming 9 MONTHS AGO? I knew it was a long time ago, but NINE MONTHS? There's no way they'd let a contestant compete while pregnant, so that must have happened after shooting completed.

One article I read said it was filmed in May/June of 2012. I didn't watch the reunion show because the Red Wings game started. It's on DVR though. I'm never that crazy about the reunion shows anyway.
I'm happy with the result given who was left. He was the only one who deserved it at that point, IMO.

Malcolm said they started filming 1 week after the final show last year. He had no time to recuperate from one game before starting the next.

Colton! Ha ha...I have to admit, he was a little b*tch but he made for good television and I wouldn't find seeing him back for some delicious drama.
Okay, if the next theme is "blood vs. water", I'm thinking of the whole "Blood is thicker than water" proverb. The only blood relations who have played Survivor, that I can recall is Russell and his cray cray nephew Brandon. I wouldn't mind seeing Russell, but Brandon, I can do without.
Then, Boston Rob and Amber are married so I guess that makes them part of the BR Family. I'm not sure where they will go with this theme....Hmmm....
Or maybe have someone like Reynold back or Eddie back, and they get to bring a blood sibling who is also a contestant in the game? Hmmmm.......

It would more likely be returning cast members with members of their family who were not on the show.

I was thinking family members vs non-family/strangers. Not necessarily returning Survivors...it could work just as well with new folks.
