^That's exciting! I'm sure there are quite a few groups who would be interested at TAMU!

This past Saturday, the ZBT colony at Vanderbilt University officially received their charter. Congratulations to the new Alpha Gamma Chapter.

Evidently despite a unanimous recommendation for expansion, the delegates voted no at Minnesota State - Mankato, so they are not pursuing expansion at this time

looking at the numbers and that they are not close to parity, I don't think I'd support it either. The strongest chapters need to get on board with helping the weakest and then they can talk about it. This isn't one straggler among 15 where you can't hold up the show, this is 25% of the chapters.

Yes. And, I mean, I understand it's the north, but where quota is in the 20s, doesn't really seem like a place that is in urgent need of expansion. Maybe I'm just stuck in the Southern view of chapter sizes though

Minnesota State - Mankato greek life tweeted at soror_extension that the delegates voted no. I'm not sure who had originally made the recommendation for expansion.

a
According to a school newsletter it said undergrad, alumni and staff members were on the exploratory committee. A one year spike is NOT enough to warrant even talking about expansion, IMO.

This is from a very reliable source.

Alpha Gamma Delta's Epsilon Rho chapter was one of the first NPC groups to charter at TAMU forty years ago this past May. (I know because I was the extension leadership consultant!) It would be wonderful to recolonize!

This is pretty typical of the smaller state schools (i.e., the non-flagships) up here in the midwest. (We can't believe how big chapter sizes are in the South! ). Agreed that there is probably no need for expansion.
