I have tried on about 15 wedding gowns most of which had buttons down the back. The surprise to me was that most of the buttons are just decorative. There is a zipper underneath most of them so it takes just a few seconds to close. The one dress without a zipper took forever to button and close.

The dress I bought has buttons down the back over the zipper so I guess buttons are fine with me.

The buttons just weird me out for some reason. I was looking at dresses at Marshall Field's with one of my sorority sisters last weekend and they ALL had the decorative buttons. I'm guessing they can be removed, though.

I hate the look of the button/zipper combination though, especially if the button part doesn't lay right and you can see the zipper underneath.

This is the gown my baby sister is going to be wearing when she gets married this August. It's one of my wedding gifts to her, and she looks beautiful in it

She nixed that style of veil, though, which is a shame since I think it's really pretty.

Just posting a few cute things

I wouldn't wear this, but I thought this was cute. It could be dyed a different color and maybe even used for bridesmaids dresses.

I really like this one. Not as much as mine (was posted earlier) but this would be my second choice.

ETA: I'm not sure how I would look in that now. I have big boobs and I have a feeling that this dress would give me that "uni-boob" look.

I love the bodice. I wish you had a full length pic of the dress.
I'm sure you looked beautiful in it.

I'm not a fan of the buttons, but they really do look nicer than a big zipper up your back. And seriously, everybody is looking at your back for a while, so why not make it look relatively nice?

My dress had a zipper with buttons over it, but the buttons were real so you still had to button them. Faux buttons sound kind of gross.

I think that this wedding gown is beautiful. I want to try it on and see how it looks for my upcoming wedding.

My eyes are slowly improving, but it will take about a year of drops to get rid of this parasite. Thanks for asking, Honeykiss and PMMama. I should update the thread I started with all the gory details.

And no luck finding the ring so far. My sister said that I should pray to St. Anthony. Maybe I'll try that tomorrow.

I've heard that really does work! I couldn't remember which Saint it was tho. I'm going to try it when I get home. Is there a certain prayer?
