Question Senior Farewell Ideas

I am the Continuing Education Chair for Epsilon Delta. Since this is our first time we have girls graduating out of our chapter, I dont really know what to do for their senior farewell.

Do you have any ideas with what you have done in your chapters or what has been done for you when you were graduating?

We only have 15 seniors since we have only been a chapter for a few months. I want this to be a great farewell experience for them, so if you have any ideas please let me know!

My chapter does 2 things.

At the Pansy Breakfast the Freshmen give the seniors a wish. They get together before and make their wishes and divide up how they want to read them. When they read their wish they also give the senior a pansy from the chapter.

The Sophomores write a poem. Either a poem for each senior or one poem that mentions each senior.

The Juniors do a Last Will & Testament.

The other thing we do is make a huge card out of oaktag and write a message from the chapter on the front. Then each sister (including their fellow seniors) gets a heart to write a personal message. They fold the heart in half to make a little card and glue it to the big card. Then we present the cards at either a Senior BBQ or the last meeting of the semester.

One thing that we've done in the past is to collect photos of the Seniors from all their years in school and make a powerpoint presentation to show during Pansy Brunch. (which could also be put on cd as a keepsake.)

Or you could make a cd for the class. Ask underclassmen to pick out songs to be on the cd that remind them of the class as a whole or individual members.

We also have the wills thing, but for us the seniors will items to the underclassmen...I think we're still passing down mementos from the start of our chapter 11 years ago.

Last year, the underclassmen gave each Senior a "award." It was fun because the awards were all sort of funny--nothing crude, but little jokes we all knew about one another. I got the "Twinkle Toes" award because I am always dancing around can't stand still. They gave me a little tutu and pink "twinkle toe" socks and a certificate.

We also have a photo video made with pictures of the seniors and songs that are special to our chapter playing in the background.

Potted Pansies are also a good idea.
