LOL, have any of you had a day where you are experiencing one long brain-fart? Its not even 11 am here in California and already I've mixed up dates on my calendar, I'm misreading emails and I just can't think straight in general!
I think its because the alarm went off at 4 am today, and people just weren't meant to wake up that early!
I hope I get more alert...there's still plenty of work ahead of me!

Is there Kentucky Fried Chicken in Hawaii?
That would be so cool!
Kentucky taking over the AGD's everywhere.
Love my sisters!
I need food!!
I don't like mean people and stupid people. There are so many of them though!
Stupid Boy admitted he was stupid and said he is crawling back to me... To uote Cassie (my best friend-) "Must be nice to have a hot, foreign doctor begging for you!"
Oh, but it is!

It's funny that you mentioned KFC because I had their Spicy Garlic Popcorn Chicken last night for dinner and I'm paying for it today.
Things we DO NOT HAVE in Hawaii:
The Olive Garden
Applebee's
IHOP [technically we have one on Maui, but it doesn't count because WE DON'T EVEN HAVE ONE ON OAHU!]
In and Out Burger
Sonic
...and that's all I can think of right now.

I don't think that my condominium association is going to be happy with what I saw on Saturday. I was walking past the outdoor recreation area when I saw a squirrel with some kind of food in its cheek zip around the side of the pool.
It slipped through the fence and stopped within half a foot of me. Then it looked right up at me, nodded--as if to say whassup--and took off for the putting green, where it proceeded to dig! I guess that's where he's storing for the winter.
The association will be annoyed...but I thought it was pretty funny!

We don't have Sonic in Michigan either. When I went to AZ to see my best friend I made him take me to Sonic and to Jack in the Box b/c I had never been. Jack in the Box was ok, but I wasn't craving it when I came home. I really liked Sonic tho. I got this rasberry smoothie slushie thing and I drank it on our way up to the mountian that overlooks the town. BEAUTIFUL!!!

Ok, so I just got this letter from the university inviting me to participate in this special grant program. It says I will "receive a stipend of $750.00 for participation..." It's four days and 2 1/2 hours per day. Does this sound a little too easy to anyone else? I have to let them know by friday.

Yea Gamma Tau!
Tonight, Viola (GC's babysquirrelnmc) was selected Miss PUSH America, sponsored by Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity at West Georgia. By participating in community service projects, such as building playgrounds, a 56 Hour Bike-A-Thon, and a number of other community fundraisers, brothers of Pi Kappa Phi get a chance to give back to the community and build stronger brotherhood at the same time. PKPhi national outreach project, PUSH America gives brothers the chance to participate in events that raise both money and awareness for people with disabilities. Gamma Tau had 3 of 13 contestants. A Gamma Tau was last year's (and the 1st) Miss PUSH America!
Last week, another Gamma Tau reigned as Miss "A Day"...A Day for West Georgia fundraising. (Unfortunately, the program had her as being a a member of another sorority! But the Univ. website had it right!
(I know they won 1 flag football game tonight. Then after the pageant, there was another game, but I didn't stick around.)
Woo!!

It's basically a seminar with guest speakers, a forum, and informal discussions. It's called the "MARS Program" (minority achievement, retention and success). It's supposed to support minority students before and during student teaching. Normally I don't like to do this kind of stuff because I don't like being labeled, but it sounds like it could be a valuable program...plus the money would rock!
Red and Buff roses to Viola and Miss "A Day"!
