You know, I couldn't help but think back to all my Alpha Gam group photos and compare it to the photos of our Founders and the early members of Alpha Chapter.

The faces and characters are different, but everything else really feels the same.

Press Release!

ALPHA GAMMA DELTA WELCOMES OVER 100 NEW MEMBERS AT
SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY

(INDIANAPOLIS) On Sunday, October 3, over 100 extraordinary women celebrated the return of Alpha Gamma Delta’s Alpha Chapter to Syracuse University at Bid Day for the new colony.

Through the remarkable effort of Alpha Gamma Delta’s extension team and Leadership Consultants, Alpha Gamma Delta hosted two Open House events and three days of infoview sessions during which over 200 potential new members were interviewed by members of International Council, the Volunteer Service Team and International Headquarters staff. The selection of over 100 women brings Alpha Gamma Delta to a chapter size comparable to the other Greek groups on campus.

“The caliber of women we met at Syracuse was astounding. These new members express one of the highest commitments to establishing a chapter that truly stands out among Greek life at Syracuse,” International
President Jackie Brannon Stutts said. “They exemplify the rich values and sincere determination that would make our 11 Founders proud.”

“A customized marketing plan centered on the theme of “Be Extraordinary,” Alpha Gamma Delta used a values-based selection criterion that aligned with the Alpha Gamma Delta Purpose to ensure that all new members of the Alpha colony paralleled the values and mission of the Fraternity,” said International Vice President Extension Sheila Kelley Sola.

The colonization process began when Alpha Gamma Delta was invited to colonize at Syracuse University last spring. The new colony will participate in Formal Recruitment this January with the rest of the Panhellenic
groups at Syracuse.

Alpha Gamma Delta was founded in 1904 at Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York as a women’s fraternity dedicated to scholarship, leadership and community service. Alpha Gamma Delta has installed 184 chapters on campuses throughout the United States and Canada with a total membership exceeding 155,000. One of the first fraternities to establish a philanthropy, Alpha Gamma Delta internationally supports diabetes awareness and education. For more information, please visit www.alphagammadelta.org.

OK, not to detract but thought someone here would know. Didn't Syracuse used to have a local sorority that rushed with the NPC groups? Or am I thinking of a different campus?
