Oozma Kappa = Lambda Lambda Lambda

If you look at the descriptions of the groups found elsewhere with the join photos and the map of the campus, you'll see that Oozma Kappa which our main characters join is the only one without a house, lacks the number to participate in the scaring competition and has the nerdiest/geekiest/whatever characters (only one of the six has letters on and those letters are knit).

I am *quite* sure that like Revenge of the Nerds the primary plot of the movie will involve an underdog fraternity managing to make its way to winning the competition.

Love the PNK iPhone case (though it's 40 bucks)!
Think my nephew will be getting the MU boys sneakers for Christmas ...

I caught an advanced screening for college students near school as a study break during finals, and despite the fact that I don't go to a traditionally Greek univsersity, all of us who saw it and were members of sororities/fraternities agreed that it was probably one of the most realistic portrayals of Greek life we'd seen. And having just come off of a Greek-Week-like competition, all of us could easily point out things that happened in the movie that we'd just experienced. It was a lot of fun, and I'd definitely recommend it. It's definitely one of the Pixar movies you appreciate if you're older, like The Incredibles or WALL-E. I'm planning on going back to see it again, with no shame

Agree! Can't wait for the movie. My college kids keep getting their photo taken with the Monsters University college ID promo display that's out at the movie theaters now and posting on FB. I think this movie will appeal to young and old.

My question is how many of the kids in the target age for most Pixar movies are used to the idea of different groups representing themselves by different letters/"squiggles" on their chest.

Above is a link to the contest to win various prizes, pledge a sorority or fraternity (I was accepted to Slugma Slugma Kappa!), and play various games. We're fans of the Haunted Mansion game.

Me, too, "sister"! I love how it asks, "Would you like to pledge a different sorority?" Sooooo realistic!

Plus, I'm pretty sure the training games constitute hazing.

My 13 year old son asked how he could get into Jaws Theta Chi because it appeared to be the jock fraternity. (Remember, this kid has 7 older sibs who have pledged IRL.) I said, "No, you're supposed to answer the questions and your answers place you into your group."

So this normally independent kid decided he could pick out the jocky-sounding answers so he could be in JOX. It worked. I started to tell him not to, that he should follow his heart and put his real answers, and realized, "@@#!! This is a fake rush! I've been on GC too much!"

Back atcha, sister!
