Help!
Can anyone identify this coat of arms? The necklace belonged to a graduate of Samford University in the 1960s.

If you don't mind my asking (and if it's not secret) does the ruby have any significance?

Sorry I'm just now seeing this... The ruby/diamond Chi Omega badge is extremely rare since after 1906 on pearls or diamonds are allowed. Prior to 1906, a member could select any stone.

Exciting News!
One of the antique dinner rings from the collection in the Chi Omega Archives has been reproduced by Herff-Jones and is for sale through Chi O Creations. The first picture is the antique ring and the second is the replica. The stone is camphor glass and the setting is white gold.

It is! Thank you!! I'll do my best to get it donated to their Archives. It's gorgeous.

Is it mother of pearl? It truly is beautiful. I need an ADPi necklace of equal beauty to wear daily.

I agree. That Delta Zeta pendant is very pretty. I would love to have one with a Gamma Phi Beta crest.

Pi Phi badge from University of Arkansas on eBay now. I love the old Balfour badges with pearls or stones in the arrow head.

Does anyone have a sterling badge with pearls? I see some orgs offering that option and wonder how on earth you clean it? 🤔

There are jewelry cleaning solutions formulated for pearls. Most cleaning solutions will eat pearls for breakfast, so be careful what you buy.

That’s what I meant—what cleans silver well enough to get into the nooks and crannies without damaging pearls? (Besides a jeweler, I mean )

Just spent a few days reading through this thread (and found there's a picture of my badge!). I hope it's okay if I resurrect it.
Love the wear on this--reminds me of the AOII found with the bent badge.
I love rubies!
This one is from 1902--it must have been one of California Beta's earliest members. Love the chased arrowhead.
Might share more!
