Those are darling outfits on the DG page....but I had to giggle at the thought that some PNM will take this literally and try and copy exact outfits and think "well it worked for them"

The far left "skit day" outfit looks like a disaster waiting to happen.
And a white romper for pref? AHAHAHA. Great idea!

The off the shoulder dress? That was my first thought, too. You are just asking to flash everyone at the party if you wear that dress.

I am SURE we already talked smack about that dress last year...not sure which thread it was in, but I know we did. It does say "2014" in the heading.
Which just goes to show, it's still bad! Time to photo shop that one out for 2015!

What we were told in fall 2015!
I went through recruitment about 3 months ago.
This is for a school in Texas with a 5 day recruitment. I also really like Kendra Scott... sorry.
Intro Day
We were given a tshirt to wear and told to wear flats, cute modest shorts, and casual makeup and hair.
Philanthropy Day
Day 2 was seen as "going to tea with Grandma" or "going to church" kinds of outfits. Classy, modest, semi-casual, etc. Usually flats, some girls wore wedges.
Skit Day
Dresses usually, or skirts and a blazer. Interview wear. Wedges or heels are advised.
Pref
Fancy! Heels, cute fancy dresses, hair and make-up totally done up. We were told to make it a less sparkly homecoming dance outfit from high school.
Bid day
We were given a t-shirt from our sorority so we were told to wear a random tank top or undershirt that we could easily change out of. Converse, cute jean shorts, and casual hair/makeup were perfect.

Jeggings are going to church wear?
5 inch clunky wedges with open toes are interview wear?
I'm so glad I'm old. Even after watching a late-period Facts Of Life marathon.

Somewhat in agreement with 33girl (as per usual!). Being in HR, if you think that 5" wedges with open toes are the way to go, just... don't.
I am terribly curious as to how many PNMs show up wearing almost exactly what is shown. I hope the outfits are shown as examples and not seen as "must haves".

I wore pretty close to what I posted and so did about 600 of the 700 girls who went through recruitment with me. In fact, my heels were about that height and relatively short.
And I just meant to put white jeans, not jeggings as you said. I'm just giving up to date information on what's being worn nowadays so be nice! Haha it's meant to be a cuter version of interview wear, and a cuter version of "going to tea" wear. I go to a mid sized school but I have friends in big 6 at UT who wore this (usually with higher heels though.)

It was the best I could find on polyvore!! Sorry!!! 90% on there are insanely over the top and that was the closest I could find to casual. Maybe use the first day makeup for bid day as well.
Did my best y'all haha.

Honestly, my school doesn't have formal recruitment. But this thread got me addicted to Polyvore and I like what if's. So, I present: What if i had gone through formal recruitment; assuming three rounds (casual, sundress, business casual), preference, and bid day.
Round one:
Makeup note: pigmented nude lipgloss would tone down the red lipliner to something softer and less stand outish
Round two:
Round three:
Note: I'd totally ditch the cat shoes if i felt the recruitment culture wouldn't appreciate it.
Preference:
Bid day:
Do you guys think my style would make the cut?

Yeah, thats why I would have chosen them. Freshman year my reaction to dress codes was rebellious shoes. I was the only girl in my graduating class that wore flats, and they were white and tan saddle shoes... so my footwear choices are always interesting to say the least.

I'm a big believer in sticky bras for backless dresses and dresses like that! you'd be amazed at how they can keep any wardrobe malfunction from happening.

With recruitment starting soon, I thought this thread could use another example of recruitment style.
From last year's recruitment at CSU Fullerton and I like how they get straight to the point with what and what NOT to wear for each day!
I really like the idea of providing a t-shirt for the first day(s) of recruitment paired with shorts/jeans.
