1. I was watching Sherman Hemsley tributes this weekend. Jester Hairston was on "Amen" and was a highly accomplished songwriter, composer, and actor decades before "Amen." He pledged Kappa Alpha Psi in 1925.

2. Watched half of an episode of Sullivan & Son (it is a like a biracial offspring of Cheers). Based on his biography, Steve Byrne is an SAE.

Sorry to double post, but I'm watching the news this morning and they are talking to Dr. Martin Luther King's daughter, Bernice King who is in London, and she's wearing an Alpha Kappa Alpha jacket and t-shirt!

Apparently she pledged at Spelman (according to Wikipedia). I never knew that.

There's a FIJI on Wheel of Fortune right now. Not wearing letters, but said he just got elected VP of his chapter.

Driving to Myrtle Beach on I-20 from ATL and I've seen lots of car window decals and license plate frames: Kappa Alpha Psi, Zeta Tau Alpha, Kappa Kappa Gamma (if I remember correctly, this one was from Auburn), Delta Sigma Theta, and Alpha Sigma Alpha.

At the beach yesterday, saw another DG wearing a "CALL ME MAYBE" shirt where the A was a delta and the first E was built from a gamma. Kinda weird, but kind of cute. I tried to say hi (and was even wearing my anchorsplash t-shirt) but she kind of brushed past me. Oh well.

edit:// forgot that I saw a girl at the bagel place this morning but I'm not 100% sure which sorority she's in. The front of her shirt said "Let's Get KAOtic" with a kite, but her back said "alpha (heart) delta" on the top and then the number 11 which I know is used as pi sometimes so I was just very confused. It was still a cute shirt though!

The Alpha Kappa Alphas have been out and about this week! I saw an official license plate in the parking lot of Mimi's cafe on Sunday, a license plate frame at the post office on Monday, and a 1908 front plate on the way home from work today.

Was talking to my yoga teacher and found out she is a Delta Zeta alumna from the U of Iowa. She was a charter member from when they were rechartered there
