GPA/Junior USF
I will be rushing as a junior this fall at the University of South Florida, I have looked at the GPA requirements from last year at the highest was a 3.0. I will be entering the fall semester with a 3.4 GPA. My question is, is this GPA good enough for me being a junior? I know that juniors get cut heavily but with the information I’ve read on this site and others USF takes in many juniors I just want to be sure my GPA is ok. I also have no recommendation letters, and no contacts to get them, is it ok for me to contact my local Panhellenic Alumnae?
Thank you for all the help, I’m so thankful for this site.

You SHOULD contact your local Panhellenic.
As for your GPA, there are too many factors besides GPA to give you the answer you are looking for.

Check out the Gamma Phi Beta colonization at USF, depending on what happens with your Recruitment. Colonies often like to take a number of older women to balance out the charter group...probably quite a few more than the established groups on campus.

Please don't say you have no contacts for recs. Do you know high school teachers, sunday school teachers, neighbors, do your parents have friends who went to college, do your friends have parents who went to college, did you parents' employers and co-workers go to college? Do any of them know Greek women? Do any Greek women you find know any other Greek women? You have not exhausted all avenues. NETWORK!!!!!!!!!!!

The affiliations that my family and friends have are either not involved in Greek life or are in Pan-Hellenic.

I'd be willing to bet there is someone....I've had many a PNM tell me no member of my group knows them and then I found someone who did....you'd be surprised....

Great news!
At first, I was going to recommend that you post your recruitment story but because you've already provided identifiable information, it might be easy for those at USF to figure out who you are.
So perhaps you can describe your strategies for a successful recruitment as a junior!
