Ah crap!
Dear Sisters of Alpha Phi,
My name is Lauren Jacobs and I am an alumna of the Iota Iota chapter at The George Washington University. Having recently graduated in May, I came home to Boston to look for a job. During my search I came across an ad placed in the Boston Globe for a contest called the "Big Gig".
Basically, to apply you needed to write a small essay as to why you deserved one of 5 internships with top notch Boston companies. I responded to the ad, completely forgot about it, and a few weeks later received a call telling me that I had been chosen as one of three finalists to become the Marketing/Promotions Coordinator for KISS108 (a large radio station here).
After being chosen, I went to the Boston Globe to take a picture which was then placed online and in the paper to promote the contest. Voting for the internship started on the 22nd and runs through noon on the 29th. I would truly appreciate your support, and would love if you could take a couple minutes
out of your day and vote for me. The person with the most votes at the end of the week wins, and I really think that this opportunity would be so beneficial in helping me to attain a permanent job, not to mention, a lot of fun!
If you want to vote, the website will remain up through October 29th at noon, and the address is:

Thank you so much in advance!
AOE,
Lauren
