Good evening, folks!

I don't remember the last time I received so many warm and generous replies to an initial post! Thank you all for the kind words, encouragement, and advice.

I've gotten some great pointers both on the board and in PMs. I think I'm going to take aephi alum's advice to heart and go through this process one at a time. I'm working on composing my introductory letter to the GLO I've been looking at for nearly 15 (!!!!!) years.

(Please forgive me for not posting exactly which one it is--I'm a little paranoid and don't want to jinx it just yet! )

I hope after I've been around for a while that I can be just as helpful to other newbies as you all have been to me. Your kindness is a credit to your organizations!
