Pref Ceremonies

I'm the new VP Recruitment for the Delta Kappa chapter at Sam Houston State University. I know there is a thread already about pref night, but it's 2 years old.

Anyway, I wanted to change our ceremony up. I already emailed nationals, but I want ya'll's opinion on what you think was memorable when you went through or as an active!

Thanks!

HQ has fantastic resources. We changed ours a bit over the years. We always include the symphony, and we've done the pearl story for years. I think one of my favorite songs we sang was "Follow Us." HQ should have the lyrics.

We use "you know where to find me" by matthew West. It is a beautiful song and perfect for the occasion. We sing a little more down-beat than he does, though.

Oh wow, I just listened to that song and immediately got goosebumps. I definitely want to use that song! Thanks so much!

My chapter sings "Country Road" by John Denver. They change the words up for AXO of course. It is the same song they sang when I went through (and I'm old!). And it still brought tears to my eyes when I got to see a pref round while helping out with recruitment this past fall.
