From the transparent-aluminum tent talk I've heard, is that the Troi's are empaths and can tell if you like their chapter or not...

And with the Wesley's, they get blamed for everything.

I'm just glad and really relieved that there never has been a Red Shirt Chapter Colonization here!

Can you make popcorn the old-fashioned way ... that is, with a Presto "Poplite" hot air popper?

That would be a risk management nightmare!

All of the Rho Chi's had to temporarily neutralize their letters. Sometime in the past century, sororities began to imbed chips in their newly initiated members so as to do away with pretenders.

There is no more lining up alphabetically to enter the houses. PNMs are transported to either the "Rush-to-Pledge" area or to the "What's your name? Where are you from? What's your major? (W^3)" area.

And what to wear during recruitment is much more democratic. No matter what you wear, there is special lighting that instantly turns all PNMs clothes to an identical shade of whatever each chapter chooses. Needless to say, all there is left in order to stand out is showing skin, but that only works in fraternity houses in 2354 ... just like it did in 2014.

Yup, but they're part of the CFC (Cyborg Fraternity Council).

Actually, there was. It didn't last long. All of the colonizing sisters died within minutes of initiation. Glad I dodged that phaser shot!

So, round 1 is over. I went to SRC Central, scanned my handprint, and rank-ordered as follows:

2: Picard (they offered "tea, Earl Grey, hot" for refreshments, and it was such a hot day already that I was sweating by the time I got through with their party)
3: Martha (seems like they're all pre-meds, and I want to go computer science)
4: Beverly Crusher (same)
5: Giles (they were so "stiff upper lip" British, and I'd probably get dropped for grades, and all my rusher would talk about was books books books)
6: Data (they were just so ... formal and stiff - couldn't even use a contraction - are they all androids??)
7: Jayne (seemed like they were all spoiling for a fight)
8: Worf (same)
9: Teal'c (same, plus they were very terse - the sisters said "Indeed" a lot)
10: Shepherd Book (the idea of mandatory Bible study turned me off)

My favorites so far are Inara (so glamorous), Kaylee (lots of fun), Zoe, and Willow. But Inara is a top chapter, so I doubt I have a chance there.

So, those special pink, sequined hose won't stand out?

In 2354, still no one wears panty hose and high heels to the first round of rush ... we still arrive for recruitment with nicely tanned and waxed legs that glisten above our pedicures and hover sandals.

And don't forget about that special lighting that instantly turns all PNMs clothes to an identical shade of whatever each chapter chooses. I wouldn't want to be the only one in the room with blue legs.

You should see how hard the chapters try to outdo each others' Soylent Green at prefs: food coloring, fancy champagne flutes, fair trade certificates of origin...
