Pi Beta Phi has closed its Ohio Zeta chapter at Miami University of Ohio effective immediately due to risk management issues. Source: https://pibetaphi.org/pibetaphi/News...ersity_Closes/

At least Pi Beta Phi seems pretty transparent about their reasoning.

I thought the same thing. I respect Pi Beta Phi for wording it so strongly as I'm sure it was still a very difficult and frustrating decision for them.

It seems like maybe they wanted to make the decision before the semester started so it was not as much of a distraction and less disruptive. The statement said IHQ had been working with the chapter for seven years, so maybe it was a long time coming.

Not sure if this was already posted, but on August 9, Theta Phi Alpha announced that the Grand Council has voted to close the Farmingdale State University colony (NY). The closure is due to sustainability challenges.
Per press release.

University of Kansas Alpha Gamma Delta has been closed. I haven't seen an official statement from their HQ but members are commenting about it on their Facebook page.
