Hawaii

Do cell phones work out there? My cousin is visiting and I completely feel guilty not calling her and telling her to becareful.

It's silly I know, but we're really close, so I'm worried. I've been getting her voicemail so I am assuming, they don't work. She may also have her phone off, so I don't know......

If she's at some remote location (like hiking through the rainforest or lava flows), then some providers work better than others.

But if she's vacationing at or near a "main" city on the island, then her phone should work.

Yes, we do get service out here. If not, I'd be screwed.

LOL, it's probably because we're less populated.

I was in the Bay Area last week and kept getting irritated at the number of calls I got dropped in. I remember having a convo with my sister and outta nowhere a man's voice asks, "What time is it over there?"

thats how it is out here too. I drop so many calls that i went to Verizon and asked if it could just be the physical PHONE that i have ... ya, no. they sent me a new one and it still happens. but yeah, between dropping calls and calls dropping in - booo too much!
