Torch Pin on ebay!

I was initiated last semester to my SDT chapter and my sisters and my sorority are very close to my heart and I am getting very upset at constantly seeing THIS on ebay! I worked to get my torch and I am proud to wear MY torch...I don't want anyone else walking to world having my torch! There must be a way to stop this kind of stuff right???

There is not much you can do, save for buying them all off Ebay your self. I don't like seeing my Torch being sold either, but everything has a price. Even more so that the economy is bad and gold is selling high.

Contact your HQ and see if they have a sort of pin rescue program.

One of my sisters actually had her pin stolen from her. She found it at a Pawn Shop near campus, showed the guy who worked there that it had her initials on the back, and he wouldn't give it back to her and was asking $110 for it. It later showed up on Ebay. :/ One of my other sisters saw it, and bought it for her.

I hate seeing our pins on Ebay, especially uner those circumstances.

I feel like she could have gotten the police involved -- did she try?

<lane swerve> Your sister is very lucky to get it back! This is a great reason to file a police report if a badge is stolen. I know it has worked out on ebay- a police report was brought to the seller, so the seller took the listing down. It's not the norm by any means, because most either don't file a police report or don't realize it was stolen/lost until too late. But good to keep in mind for the future. Regarding pin rescue programs, I know Kappa and Gamma Phi Beta have groups that address this but I'm not sure beyond that. I'd love to see all groups establish them! <back to my lane>

ETA: Great minds, Senusret
