A few observations
Greetings everyone. I was just enlightened as to the presence of this forum and decided to take a gander at what's being said. There are a few things I noticed right away. The one I noticed that bothers me is that hardly anyone is using their real names.
If you don't want to put your name on you're saying, then maybe you shouldn't be saying it. If you'll stand by your convictions and your statements then you should be putting your name on your posts.
The other thing I noticed is that there aren't many people here taking an active part in the discussions. The level of motivation and, dare I say it, outrage, compared to last convention is almost non-existant.
As far as the presidental debate goes, I think at least some (perhaps many) people will be bitter over Hockman's policies and/or "agendas" or "alleged agendas" and that will carry over to Bertilino. Example: the circle jerk logo. Should such negative sentiment carry over? Maybe, maybe not. I don't know where he stands on such issues.
I met him two years ago and personally didn't care for him (his being gay was not the reason), but I did vote for him because I thought he would serve our Fraternity better than the other candidates. However, this year I wait to hear what he says at convention where I can compare and contrast it to what the other candidates say. He and the other presidential fore-runner have both spent two years in office, and I think most of us know that spending a few years in office can change people for both the better or the worse. Combine that with their respective lists of accomplishments and all voting delegates should be able to make a good decision.
I look forward to seeing you all at convention. And the bars :-)
