Apartment!!!! - Woot woot!
Wooohoo!!! I just wanted to share my excitement with you all!! I finally found an apartment that I looooove, AND I'm getting it for real!!! I can't move in until the first or second week of June, which sucks, but such is life. It's in downtown (if you could call it a real downtown) Warsaw, Indiana...The building has 3 businesses in it (a Mexican bakery, a pizza place, and a Mexican restaurant) and the apartment is upstairs. It's fairly nice sized, the landlords are GREAT, and it's only $360 a month!!!!! The BEST (read: cutest) feature: When you open the door to the actual apartment, there is a miniature "Entry way", I guess you could call it. There are 4, yes you read correctly, FOUR stairs, going up into the main living area of the apartment and a MAYBE 3 foot long banister next to them. How unneeded but cute is that?!?! Anyhow, I'm pretty stoked about it.. Any of you that will ever be in the remote area, lemme know!!!!! You'll have to come crash at my totally cool pad! YAY!

I know it!!! Warsaw isn't an incredibly rich town to live in, but compared to the college town I was living in, I was floored by the prices.. Do you know that I called a complex that was SUBSIDIZED and they were telling me that I have to make under $25,000 a year to live there (not a problem)....Keep in mind, SUBSIDIZED....One person, one bedroom, no pets, no extras... $525 a month!!!!! SUBSIDIZED!!!!! LOL, doesn't sound like much, but for something that's supposed to be so cheap, around this area..I was like But yea, the $360 is nice...Other than that, the lowest I was finding was about $440 a month....Not in my budget, thankyouverymuch.
Still don't know when I get to move in though
P.S. Welcome to our board!!!! Nice to have visitors in this desolate land of the SK forum

CT4 -- Yup, I got everything straightened out. Now if I could just find time to actually MOVE my stuff, I'd be in good shape.
alphaiota -- Sounds good to me, let's start rounding people up. (It can't be a huge overnight meeting for a ton of people..I can only store a couple at my place )
Fuzzie! -- Didn't know you're moving to indy!!! Why is that set to happen?? Whenever you find a place? I can look fro some for ya, I have some friends that live down there.
Cara - - Get a J-O-B, woman!!!!

i need a J-O-B too! but i'm at least close enough that it would only be a short drive (a couple of hrs.) and i have a nicer new-to-me car to get me there. let's start looking at our schedules and determine a good time for most of us to get together. i'm thinking in aug. before school starts back up.

Don't worry, I'm having the same problem, only I'm already a month into it! Here's the thing tho.. unless you are going to use that job as a reference, there is no reason you have to tell them that you are only working for 2.5 months. I mean, give them a 2 weeks at the end, if you need to and all, but it's kind of info on a need to know basis, and since you need a job, they don't need to know. That's the only way I can really ever get summer jobs, and siince it's usually retail, it doesn't really matter.
Just my 2 cents.
