That was drama, but not TRAUMA.
The context made it even stranger because we were discussing what kind of experiences some of the inmates have had before they came in. Some (many) of their stories are what I'd call seriously traumatic. Sexual assaults, parents on drugs, etc... I looked at him like he was a complete moron and went back to paperwork.

I was last in your place, what, eight months ago? At that time the ice cream machine had an "Out of Order" sign on it.

Was just in again and the sign is still there. ....just take it off the menu. I mean, this ain't about me. You are really dissappointing a lot of innocent kids who deserve a good quality ice cream. Why make the kids suffer? Really. Me? I'm over it...but....naw, I raise my voice on behalf of the kids who can only cry at the deprivation. I luv the kids. They deserve better. Give the babies they ice cream. lol

I wish ringtones and other mobile device sounds didn't exist. Why? Because people think everyone wants to hear their mobile device. I unfortunately can't force everyone to keep their phones on vibrate or silent. I wish I could. But I wish fools would put their phone on vibrate, silent, or turn their phones off when going any place that requires silence.

If your mobile device has a loud vibrate either turn down the volume or put the phone on silent.

I'm at a conference (session break right now) and there are ringtones, chimes and bell sounds when people receive emails and texts. How annoying and unprofessional.

I made it home. And right now, after I take a shower, I'm going to take a very, very long nap. I am that sleepy. It was a complicated but tedious surgery day today.

Haha... I'm reminded of an old ad. It's set at an opera. Just as the soprano (who is dressed as a Valkyrie, complete with spear) hits the high note in her aria, someone's cell phone rings - just slightly off the soprano's note. She takes her spear and hurls it into the audience, and it goes right into the cell phone, destroying it without leaving a scratch on its owner or anyone else.

It's in situations like that where I want to channel my inner Katniss (although I've never used a bow and arrow in my life).

I hate being sick. Went on business trip to warm, sunny locale...came back with head cold. Ugh...I just want to breathe and smell again. And not sound like my head is in a bucket.

Having the exact same problem over here. My sinuses are so swollen that I think my head is getting distended and my eyes are bulging out of their sockets. Wishing you a speedy recovery, sister!

OMG yes! A coworker has this gooftastic Mayberry-like whistling ring tone that makes me darn near murderous multiple times a day. Hate him and his Andy Griffith phone.

Coming to you live from my new macbook pro! DH and I decided that we both needed some upgrades, he needed a new one period so we used part of our tax return on some new computers! First time ever owning a mac computer, so still trying to figure a few things out lol!
