Anyone at American University?????
my cousin is about to transfer (2nd semester freshman) to american university this week.
i went to AU's website to find out about recruitment and found out it starts january 15th!!! i think i've talked her into rushing, especially since AXO has a chapter there.
but i can't find anything to help her sign up for recruitment, if it's not too late already.
is there anyone out there that can help me help out my cousin??
thanks!

Hey I am actually at George Washington University, a lot of American U kids come here to party and I know our DTD chapter is close with their DTD chapter and the Sigma Chi chapter there is helping our effort. Congrats to her its a great city and a pretty good school. I will check with some of my friends there and see what I can find out.

One of my best friends went to school there and rushed (didn't get a bid unfortunately), but from what I remember from her and from another person from my high school who joined AXO, it's a good chapter. This info is a couple of years old though. Good luck to your cousin!

I think it's a fairly typical northeastern rush. My friend pledged AEPhi there (she was also a transfer - 1st semester sophomore) and when I wrote a rec for her I just didn't seem to get the impression they got recs from all the rushes because of how impressed they were to receive it (though you should probably confirm this to be on the safe side). I also didn't get the impression that they are too cut throat or competitive since Greek Life isn't really the center of the campus social scene since they are in the city and I don't think they have houses for the sororities or fraternities.
If you want a rec for AEPhi and need any help let me know - they're an awesome group of girls at American.

I attended American for grad school. It was my first experience with traditional Greeks on a campus, and I was really happy with the overall "vibe" that the Greeks there gave off.

My gran lil sis actually transfered to American where she is still active in Alpha Chi. She absolutely loves it and she's a great girl so they must be great too. If you need me to ask her any questions at all just let me know and I'll drop her an IM. If your neice should meet a Wendy in AXO, that's her!
