GO. SEE. BIRDMAN. NOW.
If Keaton & Norton don't get Oscars there is something wrong with the world.

I finally saw Gone Girl today. I read the book after I had my surgery and figured I better go see it before it disappears because it was gone from most of the theaters already. I'm glad I saw it. It was very comparable to the book, which is rare!

Early Oscar prediction: The author of the book adapted her own screenplay; she may join the club of authors whom have won, or nominated for, Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar.

I saw Big Hero 6 recently and thought it was fun. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'm excited to see this...I think I'm going this weekend! I'm also glad I read the book first

Saw the Hunger Games movie tonight. I thought it was a little long, especially as compared to the previous two. I don't know what true fans of the books would think. I thought it was meh. As is typical in this sort of thing, they just sort of ended the movie, practically mid-sentence with no conclusions.

We went to see "Matthew 18" and it was awful. Tricked by what looked like a good trailer again. Ugh!

We saw a double feature last night. "Exodus" and "Pyramid". Both were very good. "Pyramid" was creepy, creepy, creepy!

I saw a film last night that is 1000x creepier and scarier than "The Pyramid".
"The Babadook". http://youtu.be/k5WQZzDRVtw
While it is just playing in a very limited release, it is on Comcast On Demand and very much lives up to the hype.
From the top-notch acting, to the tight and claustrophobic screenplay and the eerie visuals, this film will give you nightmares.
10/10 for this one for being a real horror film. It will mess with your head.

"Woman in Black 2" was awful. I fell asleep. It was so bad, that I literally didn't care that I slept through some of the movie, off and on.

Selma---I reluctantly went to see the movie with some members of the NAACP and Urban League
Good movie. Excellent actors. Actor Corey Reynolds is a fine piece of handsome chocolate.
Despite the awesome actors, minus the fluff this could've been a made for TV movie on BET.
Oprah reenacted her "like I said fine by me" Color Purple role.
After this movie, my friends and I were angry and really needed some drinks. So yeah...do that....

American Sniper was brilliant. I can definitely see BC winning the "Best Actor" Academy Award for that performence.
Babadook. I was waiting for about two months to see this movie. It was good but didn't live up to its hype so I was disappointed.
Housebound. It's a horror comedy out of New Zealand. So great! Probably the best one done next to Shaun of the Dead.
Woman in Black 2. It was better than the first one but still pretty meh.

I agree with you about American Sniper. Awesome movie. But I liked the first Woman in Black better than the second one. The second one was so boring. It wasn't even creepy. I fell asleep.

Saw Black Sea tonite. While OK sadly there could have been a much better story up on screen as maritime salvage drama with less clichés .
